I had a perfect town for 14 days (yes I counted) to get the golden watering can. I had enough work projects, trees, flowers, etc. But when I talked to Isabelle on the 15th day, she said I "don't have enough public work projects," even though I haven't destroyed any of them, and nothing has changed. Why is my town suddenly not perfect, though I haven't changed anything?

Dang that sucks D: you might have too many trees. That's really the only thing I can think of that might've done it.

that or you built a new pwp that is seen "negatively" to good living. the garbage can, illuminated projects are a few of them.

I can give you a list of what I have right now, cause I really have no idea how work projects affect town perfection other than how many I have:

Town Hall Upgrade
2 fountains
2 clocks
1 campsite
2 fire hydrants
2 water wells
1 streetlight
1 fence
2 benches
1 lawn chair

Hmmmm those shouldn't negatively effect your perfect town status ...

try chopping a couple trees down. if you're hesitant before doing so, count how many you have. to have a perfect town you should be between 115-200. any more or less and the rating will down.

also, make sure you have more than 50 flowers planted.
less than 10 weeds. less than 10 items on the ground as well.

are you saying Isabelle gave you a perfect town rating each of those 14 days when you checked with her, but then suddenly changed even though nothing had changed in your town??

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. It's so weird, isn't it? The only remarkable thing that happened between Day 14 and Day 15 is that one of my residents moved out, does that affect perfect town rating?

Actually, it does. That most likely is what caused it! Any villager amount below 10 can decrease citizen satisfaction.

Oh yeah, I have 9 villagers right now, I guess that would explain it. UGH, why did Sheldon have to move out right on the 15th day!?!?! Anyway, thank you King Dad and Alexi for your help.

If you don't have the beautiful town ordinance enacted, I suggest you do that because it'll keep trash from appearing in your ponds and oceans and weeds from appearing in your town. The wind turbine and solar panel pwps also make it easier to get and keep perfect town status. I have both and my town has been perfect for about a year now, even when I didn't have 10 villagers, and even though I have the illuminated heart pwp.
