Optimist vs. Pessimist

I'm quite pessimistic internally but I project as an optimist because I want people to do their best and I don't want to bring people down

I used to be a giant pessimist, but the past little bit I've been trying really hard to be more optimistic, as when I am I just feel better.
The rest of the family's quite pessimistic, though. Makes trying to be optimistic around them kind of difficult sometimes.

I'm optimistic about my pessimism.
The way I look at it, I'd be more easily disappointed if I were to become an optimist.

Full on optimist. I always see the bright side of a situation, never give up hope, and am super confident about my future. :)

Ppl call me a pessimist but I say I'm a realist. I think it's pessimistic to call me a pessimist and optimistic to call myself a realist so that's where it gets confusing

I'm an optimist, but my boyfriend can be very pessimistic. We work well together though, we teach each other a lot about how we see life!

I try not to be a pessimist, but often times I am. A lot of people say I am pessimistic though, but I try so hard being optimistic, it just confuses and upsets me. I guess the most accurate answer would be realist; not really one or the other.

People usually call me an optimist, and I tend to agree. In my heart I'm a realist, but I like to put as much as a positive spin on an experience as I can. I don't see any point to pessimism, and try to avoid it.

I actually think I'm an optimist (though I can be kind of negative sometimes). ^^ Just read Soda Fox's post and I feel the same way - there's always a way to get something positive out of even the worst experiences.

I'm very optimistic most of the time, although I can get a bit down on myself when it comes to thinking about myself and my own future. I think I'm getting better at looking at the bright side of my own situations, though.
