Opinions on naming my second character!

Edit: What is your opinion on the name Koh? He is a face stealer so he can look however he wants.

So my town name is Ember (supposed to be Ember Island after ATLA but it didn't fit). I am creating a villain/creepy character but I still want them to be able to be cute and creepy, depending on my mood. I also want them to have a unisex name as I will be changing their gender from time to time. I kinda landed on the name Koume, who is half of the Twinrova boss in Ocarina of Time. She is the witch who controls fire. I felt this was fitting for the town of Ember which was a fire nation area. But I still don't know if it's a good fit. If I wanted to dress them as a serial killer, I feel it doesn't work.

Anyway, I just want opinions on the name Koume. It's a witch's name so it's fine for that role. But how about for serial killer? Or monster? Is it unisex enough? Thoughts please feel free to tell me you hate it. I'll be stuck with the name so I'd like honesty as much as possible.

i did a lil researching and koume doesn’t seem all that unisex - apparently it’s more commonly a boy’s name and is given uncommonly to girls. the meaning behind it also seems to be “plum” or “small plum” which doesn’t sound all that scary or monstrous to me. it’s a nice name but if creepy or scary is what you’re going for, i don’t think it matches 100% - still, it’s entirely up to you c:

I like Koume, if it's a commonly more boyish name but you know it from a female witch then it fits the gender neutral aspect. also plum is a nice meaning, it doesn't mean death or total destruction but I mean I don't think any serial killers have names like that. Plums are sweet and but have a dark exterior so maybe it'd would better if you weren't exactly going for a cold blooded murderer (Or maybe the parents just picked an unfitting name).

But if not about Azul, Ran or sparky sparky boom man.

Those are awesome points And if only Sparky Sparky Boom Man could fit XD although you listing some Avatar names reminded me of another: Koh. And since Koh is a face stealer, they can be both male and female and look however they want ^_^ That might be it. Thank you!

I don’t know if you’ve already chosen the name Koh as mentioned in your edit but if your island is already influenced by ATLA I would definitely go with that. I think it fits perfectly with the type of character you’re looking to create!
