I'm starting a new town and need opinions on this town map. Brutal honesty please! :)

I like it, I would line up my town hall and retail with the cafe and police station. I don't like having two ponds with the same shape though.

I think it's great! The south facing waterfall is always a plus and I like how the beach is split up. I disagree with Fruitcup about the ponds, I think they look nice and neat! If I were you, I'd either put my house south of that villager by the bridge (if you can fit and you're not planning for that villager to be permanent) or overlooking the waterfall by the beach.

I don't like having 3 ponds but in your case, they weren't placed in random spots and doesn't seem like they're getting in the way. I actually like the two ponds on the northern part. They almost look symmetrical. It looks like you still have more than enough space to build PWPs so that's still a pretty good map for me.

I like it but I feel like once your villagers move in it might get crowded. I do like that town hall and retail are near each other and the town plaza is away in the corner of the map. The camp ground is in a weird place but honestly I don't think it looks good anywhere u.u good luck with your town <3 any town can look good no matter the layout, I think.

It would be really good if you could get all your villagers to move in that smaller half of the map split up from the river. Then it gives you so much room on the other side of the river for PWP's, flowers and whatever else :) South facing waterfall's are cool because you get the full effect of the waterfall. The ponds look like they're in spaces that wouldn't get in the way (unlike mine lol). I agree with Shydragon about where to put your house too :)

I'm not a fan of main street being so far from Re-Tail, because it's inconvenient for me. That's just me, though. I like that that big pond is right by the campsite, it's so cute!! I just LOVE that gigantic beach. It's strange that there's one villager all on their own up in the upper left. I would put something up there so they don't seem so lonely! In my town, Stitches wound up there, and I gave him a playground. In future, when you get more villagers, I would line them up along the river with the others. I recommend putting your house near Re-Tail, but separate from the villagers. You need your own space!

Good luck with your new town! I hope it blossoms beautifully.
