Opinion on the PS5 Design

I think the system looks kinda cool. I'm most likely never getting one due to lack of interest but I can appreciate their creativity. The controller looks kinda weird. It reminds me of the plastic sheet for the buttons on a microwave. Again though, it matches the console's theme so I think that's cool.

I actually like the shape of the system. It stands out and gives the system an identity of its own. As for the controller it looks comfortable, but generic.

I truly hate everything about it, the white plastic just looks so cheap to me, and the over-modern design isn’t something I like at all. Hopefully it grows on me as I do plan on owning a PS5, but at the moment I even hate the controller...

I'd like it better if it was all black.. it'll stand out way too much the way I have my TV set up with all my action figures and bookshelf.. I just hate super clean white colour machines.. it'll look good in an ultra modern house, but not in mine.

This. I have the same issue. I really hope they'll produce a black version of the console. I mean yeah, my Wii is white also so it won't stand out as the only white console I own, but... eh... I just also think it would look really better in black.

I like it, I'm glad to see they haven't fallen victim to the boring, monotonous world of "minimalism" where everything is just a dull box.

I am not too fond of the white, but hey what can you do. Hopefully they'll release a black version by the time I'm interested in getting one.

I love it. I typically lean toward white consoles (including my PS4 and 3DS) so it is right up my alley. I already have money put by for this release so please take my money now Sony.

to be honest it just looks really ugly lmaoo

like it's a unique design... but it'll stick out like a sore thumb in any casual player's living room. Maybe if you had one of those modern gaming setups it could work, but it just seems Sony made the design just to stand out. I don't see much functionality for the shape. White's cool as a color but I think a black and neon blue/purple would've been a color pallet

The controllers look simple enough, at least the general layout is a constant. A bit too bulky imo though

Is it only available in white? I always go for black or similar colors in almost all of my devices. My switch lite, 3ds, laptop and all are black/grey, the only exception is my phone. Well, the last playstation i owned was ps2 so it is most likely that am not gonna buy it anyway.

As I look at it I'm both impressed and kinda let down. I love the color white go figure.
but this seems like a step down in quality from PS4. The look and feel of a DS4 is imo probably the sturdiest sleekest look PS has had in years. This new controller looks like the plastic was mass produced for cheep costs. The PS button on it is horrendous. The actual console itself looks good. The fins worry me tho. I'm afraid they'll snap at a slight fall or misplaced weight.

The design is refreshing tho! I love the alien look of it. Just not sure how it'll look when most modern TVs and remotes and entertainment set ups traditionally are black for uniformity.

I'll wait to see what the PS5 2nd edition will look like~

it looks a bit weird in my opinion, i really liked the ps4 design so this was a bit of a let down. even if i don't exactly like the design, i think that i'll still be buying it because my dad and i game often. i hate that it won't fit in with the rest of my consoles but that's okay i guess.
judging from the pictures, it doesn't exactly seem like it will be easy to just store/put on the tv stand which is kind of inconvenient but i haven't seen it in person yet so maybe i'm wrong!

Not really a fan. It looks like the little plastic bits would break off easily, and I just don't like white consoles. I also hope it doesn't have to stay vertical because I don't have room for that. Hopefully by the time I get around to buying it there'll be more color options at least.

i really like the look of the controllers! the shape of the ps5 itself doesnt bother me, but the white plastic does. white electronics dont age well lol. my old white wii from back when they first came out looks.... well.... its not good. lmao. hope they release something black or grey.
