Yes I made an identical thread on the Smash board ok

Share some of the things you hate in online Splatoon multiplayer!

I don't have much, but:
-People who babysit a certain area
-People who babysit your base although they have the rest of the map to cover
-Noobs

What about you?

-Campers
-Sloshers (I know, it just came out, but Jesus Christ that thing is OP)
-Teammates that prioritize uncovered turf over the turf that enemies have already inked
-Bubblers
-Getting splatted by a Charger after taking cover behind something. I don't understand the lag there.
-Getting killed instantly by the very edge of a Dynamo Roller's flick
-Teammates that suck
-People that jump CONSTANTLY while being shot at

people that jump around the entire match

typically blaster users do this. It's ****ing annoying

-when it lags so hard that you randomly die when it catches up
-People who only cover the base
-people who follow your ink and don't cover any areas that you miss

-Getting splatted by someone after you've already splatted them

I know you can push back Krakens by shooting them, but I will never understand why people just sit there and let themselves be splatted instead of swimming away. It's not you can just push them back when they're a foot away from you.

When I shoot at someone 3-4 times and THEN they activate the Bubbler/Kraken. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??

If I get shot at once by a Splattershot Jr I never have enough time to activate my special. Never ever.

ehh although I agree it can be annoying, it is a pretty necessary tactic imo (as a heavy blaster user myself)

Blasters. Bubblers...

Theres more but if I post a list it will be too long

And ill get mocked for being "salty"

- I really hate it when I'm an area and see another teammate following me, it's a noob move
- Bubbler, I'm only against it because it lasts so freaking long I die trying to wait for it end but nope
- when an enemy member jumps up and down while shooting
- weapons that kill you in one freaking shot
- this weird jumping like a dying fish move, can't remember the name
- always dying after squid jumping ;u;
- sucking at the game even after playing for so long fml
- Bluefin Depot and Arowana Mall, they are so yuck
- when a member in your team disconnects omg

here's another one: if I'm a roller and another roller follows me. Um... go somewhere else. where turf hasn't been covered lmao

I think the most annoying things that I've had to deal with are...

A.) Teammates who are deliberately trying to sabotage your team. I had one guy follow me around the map during the recent Splatfest just popping in and out of the ink behind me the whole time. He got a whopping 87 points at level 29. I've seen it a few times during regular matches, too, but it's usually during Splatfest that these kind of players appear, unfortunately.

B.) The "squid-bagging". American players are especially annoying about this during Splatfest, too. But it's also funny, since the time they waste doing that often gets them splatted or they just miss out on getting more turf due to being too busy taunting.

C.) As with most roller players, I also get annoyed when another roller follows me and inks area I've already inked. Usually it's easily rectified as I just go and take a new path, instead, but sometimes they even follow you after that, and then it just feels like they want a shield. :/

D.) Biggest peeve of all is disconnecting, whether it's myself or player(s) on my team. This was especially terrible in the last Splatfest and with the new update release. I hope it gets smoother in time.

Lmao I do this so much because I find it REALLY amusing to let some idiot think they are turfing. When Im a roller I tend to look behind me so no one can follow me

I do it all the time to enemies with rollers. It's annoying when a teammate follows me ;_;

  • People that put a Squid Beacon on or near the Spawn Point.
  • People that aren't near teammates and don't run from Kraken. Effective push-back is generally only possible with more than one person.
  • Trolls. The people that purposefully get no points and just follow someone switching (loudly) between Kid and Squid form for the entire match. They make it hard to hear enemies and are massive targets.
  • Lagging rollers. Ow.

I actually babysit certain areas depending on whether or not I can get some great points. The base at Camp Triggerfish for the opposing team. Heheh. Also the center of Moray Towers. These two I do generally only with a Heavy Splattling Gun, otherwise, I tend to push forward more aggressively.

I do have a few pet peeves whenever I play online for long enough.

- Lag in general: Let's face it, anything it does lag is bad. And if you're unlucky enough to have someone with a terrible Internet Connection being the host of a match, as the game apparently favors that laggy player over anyone else. Getting splatted from an opponent who is too far away from you is worthy of an expletive slip. Dude, just get a better Internet Service Provider!

- People not using Squid Beacons when they could really benefit from them: Many times I'm using Kraken Roller, I try to place Squid Beacons at the right places where my opposing teams wouldn't frequently go there. Here comes a crucial moment where Super Jumping to there is beneficial and nobody thought doing so. That could've make a huge difference in a match.

- People not Super Jumping on me whenever needed: While I was using a roller, there was one time where they got stuck in my team's spawn area when most of my opposing team is there. And I somehow got far away from them, yet no one thought that Super Jumping on me would help a lot to our team. We've lost that match because of that.

I've never been able to figure out the purpose of the Squid Beacon. What's it supposed to do?

I like to do against teammates who make silly moves like trying to ink every inch of the ground or follow you constantly instead of taking a different route or just generally not doing anything is just spam "C'mon!" at them to get it in them to move out instead of just staying in place. I'm not sure if it's effective but at least it gets the point across that they're not doing much.

Another thing I don't understand is when people don't shoot at beacons and just leave them all over, ESPECIALLY in ranked where a surprise attack is all you need to take control. Oh, and I'm not sure if it's just me but I feel like there a times where I'm barely surviving on my own and my team never shows up. Does it take that long to respawn and did they all just got splatted at once or something or are they off some other place wasting time.
