One huge setback to the 3DS

You know how everyone is super excited for the 3DS and all of the new games?

Paper Mario
Mario Kart
Starfox 64
ect.

Well, there is one huge setback that people have been ignoring. The 3DS supports 3D games, meaning it's going to take even longer for Nintendo to make it so you can explore just about everything. All in all, it will take longer for games for the 3DS to be made.

Just wanted to point that out. Some people might not have realized this yet, some have.

Well, remember when HeartGold and SoulSilver were announced in Japan? A year later the rest of the world got it. I'm just guessing but it'll probably take about 1.5x the time to make 3DS games.

They already showed a city in 3D in the screenshots.

No, they're on the DS/DSi:

Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version are the primary paired versions of the upcoming Generation V. They will be, like Generation IV's games, on the Nintendo DS.

@Topic: I won't mind the wait, I'll be fixated with the 3D graphics of the games that will have been released from the start.

But the reason for it taking longer had nothing to do with the game, it was relating to translation and such. So really, 3D games should take just as long.

Actually after taking a class in graphics where I got to help build a 3d engine type thing, I really don't see the programming being any harder than what "3d games" were before. you know like mario 64, it has a 3rd dimension, just stuck on the screen, the 3D here just means the closer stuff gets projected out through the screen, which isn't a problem on the developers side, just the devices hard/software.
