Olive : why aren't you with us anymore?

I am an old time fan of Animal Crossing. I was in my early adulthood/late teens when I bought the game for the Gamecube about 11 years ago.

I remember very fondly to this day the first few characters that inhabited my town. Olive was one of them.

She was the first one that, when winter came, built an igloo and prepared soup in it. I remember how soothing the atmosphere was in her igloo. And I am still kind of sad thinking about it.

Then the DS version came and Olive was not to be found in the onslaught of characters that Nintendo retained for the sequel. Same thing goes to this day (Wii and 3DS).

I am hoping Nintendo will bring back the characters that didn't make the cut going from Animal Crossing to Animal Crossing: Wild World, including Olive.

I never played AC on the GC sadly... Although, from the outset, Olive seems quite similar to Maple. Perhaps that could be a reason for her disappearance??

Hmmm, both were in the Gamecube version...

I did have Maple once in either Wild World or City Folk and I have to say, it never came to me that they looked alike in-game, although I see the resemblance now, on this site.

Quetzal was my favorite villager when I was little. xD He was my character's boyfriend. ;-; Then he moved to my brother's village, and his memory card corrupted and we lost his town AND QUETZAL. *sob*

Well they brought back Cobb, but Olive seems more generic then Cobb did so I guess that may be why they didn't bring her back.
