Older Players

My sense of timing has been abysmal this week and I missed helping a friend in need, glad you passed Gracie's check John!!

Glad you passed, John! I had some stuff to help but it was storming here and my Internet connection was acting funny. I couldn't get this site to load at all for awhile. I don't have access to a computer after one of my kids spilled something on my laptop and fried it. I'm stuck using my phone.

Hi! Thank you for your desire to help. I'm so lucky to have friends here. You are very helpful!

Odd that you mentioned the storm (real life). Lululand has been literally in a downpour all day and night.

Thank you again for being so very kind. Take care... John

Hi Plum!!

How are you? Sorry about the disconnect. Don't know what happened. Smile. I'll message ya.
You are, and will always be, simply awesome! Thank's regarding Gracie's check. It was easy sailing.

I hope to visit real soon!

Take care... John

Hi folks!

The Buggs Off Tournament was quite productive for me.

I hadn't spent much time gathering the bugs that don't bring in many bells.... but I did today. This allowed me to gain more muesum stuff. Also, I kinda did things differently this time.

I went to the Island, and gathered bugs according to type and weight. I then approached the GUY at the tent with the lower bugs first, thereby exceeding the top bugg collection on multiple occasions, and... RAKED IN BIG TIME.

I got....
1. A doll house (rare item?) I think I couldn't buy it in the HHS homes.
2. Kiddie Closet
3. Spider Web Clock, which I believe might be a special Halloween item)
4 Bee Hive Closet (I believe I couldn't purchase this from the HHS homes either)
5. Mini Butterfly Table
6-7. Beetle Chair x 2 (I believe also very rare)
8. Cicada stereo
9. And... the GOLD Bug Trophy

Wow! A productive day indeed.

Also.. my town produced the LUCKY CLOVERS for the first time...

and... I GOT THREE MEDALS!!!

Yeeeee ha! Round'em up Cowboy!

And.... the best part... I got to see Plum's town again! Truly amazing. I feel like I'm walking through a wonderful wonderland under the cool protection of fruit and other trees. The landscape is awe inspiring. Hate coming home after visiting her place. It's so well thought out.

So... now it's time for the general maintenance that I've neglected for today... grin.

Wagon's HO!

Oh... if you haven't visited Lululand lately.... come see the FINISHED UPPER MUSEUM areas!! Feast your eyes on the festivities, and frolic through the freezer isle at the Local 7/11!

Come one, come all, to Lululand! (Remember the movie "Futureworld", with Yule Brenner?)

Hey! I'm Alex and I'm a 21 year old college student. Im typically online all the time if anyone would ever like to visit my town or would like help with anything. I just started playing again so Im looking for a lot of catalogue items or help with certain parts of the game I haven't done yet as well as navigating the forums.

Send me a PM and add my FC!

Who is Plum? If John raves about a place that much...I've gotta see it too!

Hi!
You are very kind.

While I can't present Plum or her town as a place for others to visit (everyone chooses their own friends and 3DS access), I can answer "Who is Plum".

Plum is... Everything good.

Her town simply reflects that, and I am in awe when privileged to visit.

Oh my gosh this post was made for me, I thought I was one of the only "old people" left ;A;

Hi Sheep!

With your permission, I'll add ya when I get home.
You can add me whenever you like.

I'm typing this out on my phone, so I'll be brief to just say... I'm so excited to see you and others enjoying this game as much as I, and it would be an honor to see you in the Game.

My 3DS code should be in the sidebar.

Sure! And Sheepy's fine.

I don't know if you need town and mayor name for this, but it's Mimi from Dolce.

Hi Jo!

I am also a 22 y/o female. Please let me know if you would like to play! I just started yesterday so my town is kind of new lol :)

Hello friends!!!!!!!!!!!
21 year old college student who plays at night! Let me know of you added me so i can add you back! :) :)

Hi Everyone!

I just added everyone that wanted/asked to be added. I also befriended you in the Bell Tree Website, and... sent you a friendship request likewise.

Then... I sent you a private message with my 3DS Friend Code, asking you to add me back.

And... I sent you a new car.

One of the above statements is not true. (Smile).

I'll be opening Lululand's Gate here in a bit after I do a bit of maintenance.

Hope to see you in the game!!

Hi Luke...
Just happened to see your message that I couldn't leave when the lock occurred.

I guess I should have mentioned...
People in Lululand check in, but they don't check out.

Hehehe

My internet connection is working, and I was able to open the gates right back up again...

And, you just arrived!

TTYL...

Hi Folks!

Lululand is open!!

Yes, you heard right.. Lululand... the place where tomorrow meets today!

Come and see the sights! View Lululand from the top of the Mayor's Skyscraper house! (Top Floor).

See the King's Throne! (Or is it the Queen's Throne... or even the Pawn's Throne? You Decide! (Front and back room)

Observe Lululand's Poor housed in the Mayor's house! Lululand's Mayor cares! (Basement: Under construction: Dig Site)

Have you had breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? A BATH or other business? Do ALL in the same room!! (Left room)

Do you have someone sloppy living with you? Does their room look like the Mayor's SLOPPY room! He's lazy sometimes! (Right room)

After you've visited these sites to behold, walk (don't run!) on down to Lulu's house! Yes, Lulu lives in Lululand! (Go figure).

Come see Lulu's "House in the Heavens".... where you'll literally float on a cloud while blinded by the white sky above.

Lulu's backyard is a peaceful place where crime is a thing of the past (Thank's the the Mayor). Mow the lawn, or have a picnic!

Watch out for Lulu's dogs though... they see red whenever they see... well... anything! You've been warned. (They have been fed).

And... Tweety has also moved into Lululand! Although Tweety's home is under construction, it's sure to be an ANTIQUE!

Have you been to Lululand's Museum upper floors? Oh my word.... it is sure to entertain!! There's SPACE, EGYPT, STORE, HOSPITAL, and COUNTRY LIVING to satisfy the achy brakey heart.

Yes.. come on, come all, to LULULAND!!! A place that you "experience" rather than see.

Well... I've posted a message to this effect before... but just have to do it again.

Today was a very special day.

First, I got to visit wonderful friends.

But more importantly... these friends are kind. Truly kind. And that's what this game is all about to me.

I have met so many kind people in the "Older Players" forum, that it has added everything to this game that the game was designed for.

Today I also visited a new town, and a new friend. They garnished my pockets with very rare hybrid flowers, and that was very special indeed. They had a giving heart... and everyone I've met thus far has been like minded. It is so inspiring... not just in the game, but in real life.

I don't meet kind people often... not really. There have been times in my life when I actually wondered if truly kind people even existed any more. This particular forum of "Older Players" (and none of you are truly old.... believe me!), has been a very positive experience for me.

Today... in particular... (and so many other days before it)... I almost broke down like a blubbering fool (leaving my manly confort zone... grin) because of the kindness of heart you have.

And... to end the day... I got to visit one of my most special friends (you know her name! heh heh heh). But the internet connection between us bottomed out, and all the transacting was lost. But it didn't even matter, because the experience itself was something that a game error couldn't erase nor take away.

It lasts, forever.

Thank you all....

If you are new to this "Older Players" forum... and are here to meet kind mature appropriate people to interact with in the Animal Crossings New Leaf game... you won't find a better bunch of people. I haven't... and I've been involved in the internet since it became something that people other than scientists and researchers used (late 1980's); before the whole .com thing... where 300 baud modems were used to communicate "on-line".

The players who make up this forum are a true gem.... one shining brighter than anything offered in the game itself.

Take care, and have fun!

Katrina was in my town yesterday...

My charcters were doing fine... no bad luck... nor issues... until.

First, Mayor John saw Katrina, who informed the mayor that good luck followed he who wore a "cute accessory".
So... I wore a silly beard (itched the whole day!) just to keep what luck I had... still flowing.

Now Lulu on the other hand (claw), also saw Katrina. Katrina told Lulu that he needed a "Beatnik Tee" in order to survive the same wilderness that was all fine and calm only moments ago.

Lulu looked frantically for the beatnik tee that he had just used on a Maniquin not more than a few days prior.
The Beatnik tee was no where to be found (Katrina's fault, I'm sure. Grin).

As Lulu just brushed off the matter... he tripped. Then tripped again. Lulu's... legs?... were prefectly landable before Katrina's visit.

I'm wondering if NOT seeing Katrina is better than initiating a self-fulfilling prophecy; See Katrina, Bad or Good luck becomes based on her, rather than your usual good-ole-day. Oh, where have the good-ole-days gone!

Palm readers.... seen one, see'em all.

Just saying.

Odds and Ends...

You know those droid gargoil little guys that you dig up? Is there any benefit to keeping them other than the points they give your Happy Home?

I've got three to four pocket screens of these guys, and frankly, I'm going to have to add another villager if I'm going to continue hording them.

Is there any reason to not sell these things? Is there actually a market for them? Should I offer them up on-line rather than just sell them to Retail?

Or.. should I use the toy hammer to pop them repeatedly on the head for my morning gargoil malt? (With whipped cream)

What to do... what to do.

Also... storing GEMS is killing ma storage capacity as well. The GOLD ones are very helpful, and I've used a blue one to make a blue piece of wall furniture even more shiny. But there seems to be a very limited amount of furniture that these gems can "convert", and thus, I'm wondering if it is counter productive to keep hording gems as well.

Anyone have wise words on this?

John from Lululand

PS: The Mayor of Lululand will shortly undergo another home remodeling. Woo woo!
