I'm Peaches, my town is Bumtown ... Clearly was a bad idea to ask my husband to call my town 'something creative' as I was out of ideas, but alas I am stuck with it. I play mainly in the evenings and after playing for a while I think it's about time I made use of the train station. Feel free to add me and let me know so I can add you back :p

Lululand's Gate is OPEN!

The Lululand rules are, however, a bit harsh (grin and smirk):

The Mayor's house has been remodeled, with minor changes these past two days (big change as of Thursday).
Lulu's BirdHouse is always being updated, with more updates to come tomorrow, including the exterior to match a more woodsy atmosphere (and climate).

The Lululand Cafe is now OPEN!! Come have a cup of your favorite Java... overlooking the Ocean! Hear the ROAR as you pour down piping hot fluid down the pipe. Much to see... much to do. The Island is set up specifically for catching bugs on the tree trunks... and is best at night. Come dive into the "Lululand Falls"... but be careful, one player already fell over the cliff! (Had to reset!! hahahha. How often does that happen!).

SIDE NOTE:
Ironically, I was informed this morning that Muffy is sick. If you've followed the thread on Muffy, she's a character that I'm hoping will want to volunatily leave Lululand. Why you ask? Her house is directly in front of the Mayor's house, and he'd like that realistate for something other than the view of Muffy's rooftop. (Yes.. it's Ahab, Jezebel and Naboth all over again! grin. 1st Kings chaper 21)

So.... rather than have to DO ANYTHING to Muffy to get her to leave (like the "silent treatment", or konking her on the head with the toy hammer... repeatedly... or pushing her around, as some video's suggest), I might not have to do anything at all! Although my impulse is to get medicine and bring it over to her house... I think I'll let fate take it's course. (But why don't I feel any better about going THIS route than I did when considering making good use of that toy hammer I toute around?)

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday...

Just wondering...
On the Island... there's an ATM machine. I was wondering if there was some conversion between Bells and Medals, but I've not been able to find anything of the sort. Even more ironic, the ATM on the Island offers only the same ATM features as the mainland ATM, and thus, I can't see why it's even in the Island hut to begin with. But then again... I can be a bit dense.. and.. well... I'm sure there's something that I'm not thinking about.

I've read a bit where people trade Villagers. I'm getting that you have to wait until one villager has packed their bags, and then the desiring party (adopter?) can ask that villager if they want to move into their town. I've also read comments where some people "hold them off" while another gets themself ready to ask that villager if they will go to their town. I wonder how they "hold them off" from leaving elsewhere. Duct tape? I hear that tape is good for many purposes.

Anyhoo... just really wondering about the ATM at the island. What purpose does it serve since the Island doesn't deal in bells at all. Also, any money you might have had in your pockets before you left for the Island are taken and stored until you return to the Island, making the Island ATM real questionable.

To my knowledge there is no way to convert medals to bell, vise versa. And honestly I have no clue as to why it even exists on the island. And about your second question, from my experience people who hold villagers make sure they stay on that moving date and the villager will not have moved. For example if you have 'Villager A' who is in boxes on June 13th you can go days without playing then start up again and time travel back to June 13th and 'Villager A' should still be in boxes. I'm not 100% sure about this though, as I myself have not done so, but I did have someone hold Diana for me for about a week while she was in boxes. I hope this helps. x3

Maybe Nintendo planed on something for the ATM's use that never materialized, and thus, it was easier (read: less expensive) to just keep the ATM code in the game. (Or, the ATM serves another un-paralleled purpose with regard to the transfer of resources in general).

Lululand is open if you desire to visit shops or just look around. I'm in and out, so if my character doesn't respond, I'm either temporarily away, or I'm actually brain dead; or both. My Retail is open till 2am, and my Shops are open till 2 as well (I believe).
