All morning Ive been plot resetting for my 9th villager. Because they need to move in already. So, when I plot reset, I name my character A, B, C, etc so I will know how many times it takes for this game to cooperate with me. Guess what Letter im on now? M. Im on M. M! That means I went through letters A-L to no avail! Either a villagr didnt plot, a villager did plot and they were a villager that I did not want (*cough cough*Puddles*cough), they were a villager that didnt fit my town, or they moved into a plot but were one tile over to the left.

Im losing my mind here.

Im about to give up and load my mayor anyways and watch, when I do, a villager will be plotted right on top of my roof! I wouldnt be surprised if that happened!

*continues grumbling angrily, then takes laptop and throws it into corner, then picks up 3DS and feeds it to dog I dont have*

Yeah, that's why I stopped villager plotting. I just learned to let it go and try to build my town around what I got. And then if the villager didn't fit my town, or I hated them (CHOPS!!!!), I just wait for them to move, since I know they won't be permanent.

Oh I would do that but I have plans for my town and I cant just let villagers live where they want because they will plot somewhere where I want to put something and they will never leave. Like right now Wart Jr. (a starter) is plotted where I want to put my cafe in the future, Hes probably not going to move ever. He will be forever living in my town, like Cranston back in Ossipri, that's why I restarted that town.

Are you using patterns? really makes a world of differences and it actually doesn't take that long to canvas your town.

maybe just let go and play casually, its so much nicer when you stop worrying about layouts and plots and having perfect paths... i cant imagine how frustrating it must be to sit there for hours and restart the game over and over until you get a villager to plot in that One spot out of the whole map :/ this game can still be fun and you can still do cool things in it even when your vollagers arent perfectly aligned :) i can sense the stress from your posts and its sad that a game makes u feel like this :(((

If you time travel back one day (using your 3ds clock) you can cover that spot you missed and then go forward again and at least that is one less thing to deal with! I know the feeling though. :(

But.... since the update all you have to do is cover your town in qr patterns every two squares, then leave spots open in exactly the only places you want villager houses to be in. It's the easiest thing ever. Sure it takes a bit of patience to cover the whole town but after you do that you're pretty much set to play normally without having to worry about random plots in random places.
