I found a lost item yesterday and I've asked all of my villagers now except for Tammy, and I CANT FIND HER ANYWHERE. Ever since I picked up that item I haven't seen her. She hasn't been outside or in her house and I haven't seen her on main street. The item HAS TO be hers since she's the only one left to ask, but I can NOT find her! Ugh.

My villagers do that all the time x_x

Maybe if you save and re-open the game she'll be outside? I think it's random who's in or out, and saving or going into buildings/main street might reset it!

Have you checked the museum exhibits? Sometimes they like to chill in there.

I have this problem now and again, frustrating in the extreme.
Yes she could be in the museum, not certain you will be able to give her a lost item there or not? Don't know.
When it happens I save and restart and that sometimes makes the villager appear either outside or in their house.
Sometimes I find a second villager visiting another villager (outside of the norms of one asking you to get someone, B'days etc).
Save & reload is the best bet, you have all day.

check all shops, the museum, every villager home. she'll be somewhere. also reloading your game works.

save and quit until you see her in or infront of her haus!!

I waited too long and now it won't let me give the item back :/ so now I've just got a mitten laying on the floor in my house lol

Like the others said, if you save and quit multiple times eventually you'll find Tammy outside. This situation happened to me with Pekoe the other day.

Get one of the megaphones or whatever its called from the store. I had this happen to me once and i brought one. To use it, hold it and say the name in your ds microphone and it will come up on the screen which direction they are in. Might take a few tries, but eventually u will find the one u are looking for.

I didnt know the save and quit trick but atleast when my villagers do that they tend to hide in the museum

Also the megaphone works when ther are in the town itself(not in mainstreet) also if they arent in their houses they wont reply

That makes me frustrated too, when you wanna go find someone specific but theyre nowhere in sight! Id go check every floor of the emporium, both sable shops, every exhibit in the museum and sometimes in club LOL when it is open

That happened to me earlier, for three days straight I couldn't find Lolly anywhere at all! I used the megaphone and searched inside everywhere villagers can go but still no luck
