Though if I'm going to be blunt, people need to stop with the "my file corrupted" or "my villager moved out" threads when it was due to their own actions. Since rather they realize it or not, more often than not it just ends up being an undeserved cry for help. Which with how quickly some people are to help for free when this happens I'm honestly half-expecting someone to fabricate this happening to them at some point. (note, I'm not accusing anyone of doing or planning to do this. its just observational theory)

I'm so sorry for you Sayoko! The same happened to me once (writing a businessplan for school and playing ACNL totally don't go together at the same time! -.-)

As for you, Sayoko, I'm really sorry about your town! We all get a bit distracted sometimes. At least it wasn't too much to lose, but it can still be devastating. :c I hope you get a good town layout and starting villagers as well!

I never understood the point of making these threads. This one asks about similar experiences, which I can understand (although we're probably getting off topic...). If my file corrupted, I would see no point in making a thread. In my opinion, it seems like most people are just trying to be pitied.

OP, I don't think you apply to this, considering you're asking for others' stories with this. My file has never corrupted. I usually shut it off right after it saves, but before the menu loads. Good luck with your town. O:

I did something like that before. I pulled out the game cartridge while rushing, only to realize that I hadn't saved or even returned to the home screen. It wasn't corrupted but I had to do a lot to get back to the point that I was at before. I think I did it while I was trying to transfer your pokemon to pokemon x lol The only game that got corrupted for me was a Harvest moon game.....I was using too many AR cheats xD

(((HUGS))) MayorAvalon! I totally agree in this case because the comment you are referring to began with that poster saying, "how the hell..." which is just uncalled for and undeniably rude. I don't see why anybody needs to be uncivil.

I understand the rest of the case being made for how this can happen and how people can just space out or be just plain unlucky sometimes.

Still, I know from your experience that you AND I will be VERY careful now to avoid this problem. I have several towns and I'm lucky that I have not yet had any of them corrupted, and I'm probably one of the spaciest people on Earth.

And heck, what are friends for? The least we can do is sympathize, empathize, and help out if we can.

But does this game have a corruption issue?
How many have actually corrupted because of a fault and how many are people just wanting free stuff or are corrupting it themselves by not paying attention?
If your game corrupts because you're not paying attention, that's your fault, it's not an issue with the game.

I'd like to know how many people actually had genuinely corrupted towns in Wild World and Population: Growing.

I'm jealous! That's some amazing villagers! Congrats on getting them!

I never experienced anything like the game corrupting. I once pushed the cartridge out by accident but that only caused my game to start from the last save, which makes sense.. But I'm careful not to press the power button before the game has saved completely

yeah, this has not happened to me before, the last one was on purpose anyway [i was lazy to rebuild town, so just tried to see what happens if it corrupts], in WW i think mine corrupted once. i had an R4 card back then instead of the actual game cartridge so i don't know how it was possible if my card stayed in the whole time.
