I started off playing AC:NL with my mayor character, it was pretty normal. I decide to change to my 2nd character to place down some paths, AND I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED, but a new villager MOVED IN. WHAT THE HECK! It's BAROLDDDDDDD. He looks ugly and I'm ANNOYED. Did he get dropped of from someone's void, I don't know. BUT I'M ANGRY AND SAD AND, JUST, UGHHHHHHHH. Please, I swear, MOVE OUT.

You can know if he is from a void by talking to him in the first day. If he is, he'll mention you the town he's from

Don't worry this happens to a lot of people. If it makes you feel better, I once received Gaston from my brother's void. Ugh, that hideous mustachioed rabbit and his ugly moldy house. ._.
He moved away eventually though. So it's not like ugly villagers are permanent. But yeah, I feel your pain.

One of my biggest acnl pet peeves is getting an unwanted villager from someone's void. I mean, they're not even original!

More on topic: maybe he was already plotted when you played your mayor, but you just didn't notice it.

I got two voids in a row, lol. Someone finally moved and I could get Rosie (yay), but these two villagers... I literally have them walking around saying, "I need to move" as a catchphrase.
