Your hard work restoring The Bell Tree on April Fools' Day has paid off! A commemorative Shiny Ditto Easter Egg has now appeared in the Shop for 99 Bells.
For probably at least a few weeks/maybe even a month, I've been trying to catch one but they almost always completely blend into the trees until I've scared them away aaaahh!!!
Is anyone else having trouble catching certain bugs???
No I catch them all the time on the trees in the middle of the island. I've chopped those trees down now for beetles ofc or else I'd offer to get you one. xD In my town yeah they blend so much so I scare them away. Try the island at night!
What I do when bug catching is sneak to near the edge of the tree's shadow, usually without touching it. Even if you are touching the edge of it, you should be able to catch the bug.

Thanks for the advice! Although my problem here is that they blend in with the trees so well that I can't even see them and then scare them away without noticing them ;u;
For some reason in Sea Cove it's really easy to catch tarantulas, but in Hearts they keep running behind trees and in flowers and it frustrates me so much because I'm almost done with the bug collection for my mayor in Hearts.
