Noticed that not all villagers have crafting benches in their houses

So my question is, should I gift them one so that they could craft when I visit their house sometimes?

maybe? i didn’t have to give one to any of my villagers so i’m not entirely sure aha

Even ones that don't have it will pull one out sometimes. Julian doesn't, usually, but sometimes he'll replace his fortuneteller set with a blue DIY bench--he's given me the gold candlestick and crest doorplate recipes like this.

Ahhh... I see. I thought I saw that too with Erik since he doesn't have one but I could have sworn he gave me a recipe one time. So there's no need to craft one for them then.

This seems to be true! I was sure Carrie didn't have a DIY bench but today she was hammering away at one

It's good I don't have to waste resources to gift them one as I was worried I could potentially be missing out on recipes.

If we're to believe that certain personalities can give the player certain DIY recipes, it would be a good idea to give them a workbench. I gave Zucker one and he started crafting things randomly.
