Not enough Uchi villagers!

I would really like to have all the personalities but there isn’t an uchi design that really vibes with the rest of my villagers and rustic antique island theme. I mean, I like Agnes but I don’t know. :/ I wish there was more uchis to choose from.
Like Bea. I wish she was Uchi so much. I would have her on my island in an instant.

Anyone else feel the Uchi options are lacking?

Aren't sisterly villagers the smallest personality group? I have Phoebe and I like her a lot so I don't mind it too much. But yes it'd be nice if they expand it more. Maybe through updates?

I think they are the smallest group. Phoebe is really nice though. And I don’t know. I feel like they should’ve changed some of the personality types before NH released.

Yes! Bea is normal and I’d prefer her to be uchi with her half-closed eyes and laidback vibes.

so many cute normal villagers I want on my island but don’t want too many of the same personality types flurry, lolly, coco, kiki, fauna, lily, maple, marina, merengue, midge, molly, poppy, olive, tia, skye.... all are so adorable. Some of them could’ve been uchi!

There's way too many Normal villagers, or even Snooty, and their designs would've fitted perfectly with the Sisterly personality, it's really a shame and I don't understand why they didn't add more with NH...

I love Mira, Pashmina, Cherry, and Muffy, but there aren't many Uchi designs that do it for me either. (And of the ones I listed, only Mira really fits in with my town.) It's a shame, I love the Normal/Peppy/Snooty designs so much, but the Uchi personality is one of the best! I like how they're such strong and yet grounded characters.

And while I'd love more cute Uchis, I'd be happy just for there to be more Uchi villagers in general, with their own specific vibe. You know, like how there's a definite set of Peppy traits, Snooty traits (EYESHADOW AND BEAUTY MARKS), etc. Uchi villagers all have a lot of attitude, whether it's in their style (Muffy, Cherry, etc.) or their face. Their counterpart, Cranky, is an incredibly diverse personality type (but it's also been around since the beginning). So, yeah, cute pink Uchi gals for me too, but I wanna see all kinds.

edit: OP, how do you feel about Pashmina? Sadly her interior isn't very fitting, it was more fitting for your theme in ACNL when she had Rococo furni... but her design could work if you really want an Uchi (I totally understand if you ruled her out already lol).

omg i had the same dilemma!!! I Had Fauan, Merengue and Stella but then Fauna and merengue have the same dialogue so i got bored real fast and i also wanted Melba and Molly but hnggggg ;A;

Have you tried Deirdre? She's the softest looking uchi and has the best house of them all, she's so much fun! My island is also rustic and woodland-y and she fits in so incredibly well.

I was thinking about Deirdre but I’m not the biggest fan of her white makeup. I wish it was more minimal? I guess that’s why I’m thinking about Agnes because she’s pretty much just a black pig lol.

Yes I totally hear you on this! It's weird, because while Uchis are very intense, they're also the most normal villagers (yeah even more than normal now imo). They're very laidback and real about things. I think the game only gets better when there are more villagers, probably every villager is someone's favourite somewhere.

I think this problem is also shared with the Smugs, and it has to do with them not adding too many villagers beyond the base Smug/Uchi addition in NL, but I see it complained about way more with the Uchi villagers. I think that's partly because the Smug set has a few more inoffensive designs (like Marshal, who is my Smug for that reason xD), and because there are so many different types of Smug (from Eugene to Julian). I just don't feel the same diversity in personality in the Uchi designs.

I can see what you mean but it's not overbearing at all in-game, she's super soft. Agnes also has a plain design but her house is too fancy for a rustic island imo. But it's your choice of course! I just love Deirdre too much lol

Both Sylvana and Merengue have softer personalities in my game compared to Fuchsia who is full of attitude and sass in addition to her kindness and helpfulness.

I adore Fuchsia and she is my fellow late night prowler who I bother way too often for a quick chit chat while we listen to some rocking music.

Exactly! There’s no uchi Marshal in the sense of a more simple designed uchi. I was thinking how Olive would’ve been a nice uchi with her neutral and low key tomboyish design.

No, you’re about Agnes’ house which is why I haven’t gotten her lol. And I’m thinking about Deirdre looked in New Leaf so maybe I should consider how she looks like in NH aha.

Unlike most people I actually like the majority of the uchi designs and especially love their dialogue but yeah, this is part of why only getting 8 new villagers in NH made me feel disappointed Smugs don't have many villagers as well but more of them are considered cute so people don’t complain as much about that. I think we really need more of both and I hope, even if it isn’t likely, that we get more new villagers at some point or even a set of welcome amiibo cards with some personality changes to uchi and smug mixed in. Getting back the amiibo crossover villagers would also bring back 2 smugs in Toby & Wolf Link but I don’t think there are any uchis in that group at all.

The uchi and smug personalities have a very reduced number of villagers, and I like around 4 or 5 in every group, so it's not like I have a wide range of villagers I can choose from lol. I don't think they will, but it would be awesome if they created more villagers for each of these personalities.

while there are a fair amount of uchis that i like, i find that the uchis and smugs don’t really have all that many villagers to choose from ;;
