Noooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

Wow, I couldn't really believe this when I read it. What's scary is that Microsoft is making no commitment to keeping the brand name if they buy it... Wow...

You've got to be kidding me. I thought that M$ had given up on buying Yahoo! *sigh*. There goes my idea of moving to a yahoo email account...

Hotmail (if that is what you call it) is a piece of *CEN-2.0-SORD*.

Ah, I wouldn't know. Gmail ftw!

didnt click, but assume its about the 45 billion $ sale of yahoo to ms possibly... dont know if the differences would be much, except google going out to buy a bunch of stuff to compete.

It's big but Microsoft has pretty much had no sucess on the internet and I believe that will continue.
Uuuuh, MSN is one of the biggest sites on the web. Not as big as Yahoo or Google, but still it is really successful.

In the search engine world it is very small. Yahoo has only 30% of th profits of search engine ads while Google has over 60% (I think)

Microsoft is afraid of Google if anything. They are tried countless times to do things which Google, who came out of no where, did it the best.

I wanted a Gmail account but the email name I've used all my life was already taken when I got an invitation to use Gmail. So, I checked on Yahoo, and it was still available, so I created an account there. But given the constant negotiations/rumors that Microsoft was going to buy Yahoo, I decided to wait before I move everything to that account.

if it doe happen I'm looking forward to it. you know how much it could contribute to the computer, internet, and electronics, community!
