Have you used wi-fi or Streepassed recently? That's probably why.

The 10th villager can, sadly, be obtained through wifi/streetpass. :c That's probably what happened.

Sorry about your misfortune. Fang moved into my planned "park" area out of nowhere, so I can relate.

Stinky is basically an 8-year-old little brother, so it does make sense he would move into a park... I'm sorry that happened to you, though!

You could have gotten a worse villager.....and just to not upset anyone....I will not refer to the villager by name, or even describe it.

Hes lived in Azalea since Day 1 in July.. at first i thought YUCK eurgh he has to move, and i point blank refused to talk to him, thinking he was ugly and i needed a better Jock
but he grew on me.. has given me his pic twice, and i couldnt bear to let him move now

I just got a tenth and I'm mystified.
Opal moved out yesterday (great, got her out of my forest area at last!) so I went and replanted a couple of trees there.
Fire up the game this morning, my saplings are dead/crushed and there's a plot for someone called Pango exactly where Opal was.
But...
I have not wifi'd with anyone for at least three days and I have not gotten any streetpass hits for well over two weeks. I even went into my Mii Plaza to make sure. Last mii acquired was in early March.
Again, this is a new TENTH villager. See sig for current roster.
The game couldn't have put this character into my movein pool WHILE Opal was waiting to leave and just stored her until Opal left, could it? I got Opal's ping maybe four days ago and I might have traded with someone at around THAT time, but certainly not since. This goes against everything I've read about how wifi moveins work.
How the heck?
...Oh well. Least it didn't land on any flowers or anything. Guess I'll find out tomorrow who the guilty party is, they'll tell me if they're from someone's town I assume.

I feel like there needs to be more Stinky love so I'm going to back this up! Besides Shep, he's the villager who's surprised me the most in how much I love him! All my other villagers love him and talk about his he's their best friend, how he welcomed them into town, etc. I don't know why but he just grows on you!

That really sucks. Thankfully it's practically impossible to streetpass anyone here so I never have to worry about that, and I'm not letting anyone into my town or visiting other people unless I have 8 villagers, because at least then I'll be plot resetting so I can put them in a decent spot. I got one wifi villager (Olaf) and went, "Nope, not happening again."

Umm if any of you want him I will totes give him to you when he decides to move out but I have two cats, don't need a jock and tbh he sorta freaks me out?? Maybe he'll grow on me but like... wrestling and the name 'Stinky' >.< I know a lotta people like that sorta charm? Instead of all really cute villagers? (That's why I let go of Merengue rly) but I mean... a cat with bicolored boxers on his head was not what I had in mind.
