Well, it's been confirmed that nook's shop doesn't upgrade the way it did in AC:WW so if you guys find any information about how to get it upgraded, let us know.

It's always been selling and buying combined. Selling stuff goes toward the money "flowing through" nook, thus is part of the total to upgrade.

I don't think selling counts in City Folk. My boyfriend has paid off his second loan ($120,000) by selling fish and bugs. If it was going by selling, his store would have been closed today for upgrades....or am I misunderstanding something?

Dnno, it's strange.

Maybe it depends on what you buy?

He still hasnt upgraded for me, which is quite odd, normally I have him upgraded after the first day.
