There are three villagers that I'm hoping to get in my town, but I only have the amiibo card for one of them. Therefore, if I ever want to get the other two I need to open up space on my island. The problem is, nobody wants to move! For about a week I was ignoring all the villagers that I want to move, but that didn't work. So now I'm only ignoring Nibbles so that she will hopefully want to move. But it's still not happening! Plus, every time I see her with a thought bubble and talk to her, hoping that she will ask to move and it's actually something else, then I'm not ignoring her anymore!
So, any tips? Do villagers get more likely to move out the more time has passed without anyone moving out? If I moved in Piper via amiibo and forced someone out would that reset some sort of move-out cooldown and make it take even longer for someone to ask to move? My town is missing two personalities, I've gotta open those spots!
I noticed that almost no one wanted to move when I had 9 Vilalgers. However, now that I have 10 down, I have had 2 natural moveouts in one week. This is with an Amiibo moveout and a non-Amiibo Campsite moveout squeezed in between.
Maybe I am just lucky, but I suspect that villagers don't want to move out if there are less than 10 plots.
Yeah, all 10 plots are placed and I have 10 villagers. I actually filled up all the plots as soon as I could so that when I started moving in amiibo villagers I could decide where their houses went based on who they booted out.
It took 16 days after my first villager moved out before my next villager wanted to move out.
And it was literally the only 1 of the 10 I want to stay. lol
I don't TT so you can understand how frustrated I was.
7 days after I told that villager not to leave, is when I had another villager ask about leaving (today)
The time between my first moveout and my most recent moveout was 17 days. Still haven't placed my 10th plot, so that might be the issue, but I'm assuming it could just take time.
Forcing someone out with an amiibo does not reset the move-out timer. I forced Zucker out, then the next day Coco asked to move.
It appears random which villager wants to move (other than the most recent move-in never wanting to move out). It takes about 14 days for the move-out timer to trigger. That is why the "15 day method" exists.
