No streetpass or spotpass??

I have this problem is that my showcase is always empty, no homes what so ever,

My streetpass/spotpass are all activated and I even go to malls with sleep mode on yet I still haven't even seen one house, same with spot pass... is there a problem here?

There might not be anybody with the game or a 3ds there. The only places I've gotten streetpasses from are the Faire, or the theme park. I've never gotten any at the mall either.

I usually get most of my street passes from school or a convention for anime and games. You could try having your game in sleep mode and going to video game shops. Sometimes I've street passed with the people who work there. ^^

Oh, don't worry. I can go to Gamestop and not get any streetpasses. :') Nobody at all in my town ever, or the neighboring towns, have a DS. Even less have AC. I only got houses in the showcase once because we drove to my aunt's new house which is a little ways away and was near a Nintendo zone I think.

The problem here is not enough people near you have a 3ds xD

I get a lot at the grocery store too. Other places that are good:

-the mall (though I feel like this depends a lot on what time you go)
-game stores
-comic book stores
-school or work
-conventions
-public transportation
-nintendo zones

Just gotta keep trying until you find or pass by someone with the game and a 3ds.
kinda stinks if you live in the middle of nowhere like me; just keep bringing it along whenever you go out somewhere.

They gave out a few houses over spotpass last year, but it looks like they aren't doing anymore.

I brought mine to the hospital with me when I had to go to the emergency room. Sad to say, I got 10 passes during the 2 hours I was there. It kinda makes sense, a lot of bored people stuck in bed. It's a sad way to get them though.

I usually get streetpasses from my job. (only good thing about my retail job) Whenever I eat at a certain Ruby Tuesdays I get a streetpass. Once went into a Home Depot and got four.
