No New Public Projects?

I started about 3 months ago now, and I received a request for a blue bench almost immediately, other than that, No villager has requested anything to build. Anybody know if that's something i'm doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. It's random and depends on the personality of your villagers on what they request. There are a few guides that you can follow to get a villager to ping you one. Don't have an exact link but you can search here on TBT or google "how to get PwPs fast" or "how to get PwPs guide" and you should get some results. Good luck!
