WHY I LOVE ACNH: while it's very bumpy at first, and i hope for more updates in the future, it's very calming and diverse thus far! i love terraforming and being able to place custom paths and customizing furniture to look like something else, such as a bakery, studio, etc! and i LOVE to see others islands and how they decide to play around with the features too! everyone is such an inspiration with how they go about playing! i also love the flower breeding mechanic, and how they don't entirely wither whenever you run over them i love to keep my flowers safe!

Why I love ACNH: city folk was my first animal crossing game, and while i’d always grown up around different consoles and games, animal crossing was the first game i could find myself sinking hours into each day, even at a very young age. i stopped playing, then bought wild world a few years later. i tried new leaf too, and while i tried time and time again to fall in love with my town, the charm was gone. i was ready to give up on the series when word of a new animal crossing began making its way around. i didn’t own a switch, but luckily, my mother shared my passion for the game, and together we adventured into Candy Isle. the feeling of being on our own island surrounded by my own hard work reminds me of the excitement and awe with which i first stepped into that little town on my wii way back when. i guess i just love this game because it takes me back to the days when i had no worries and i was truly in my own little world this is super long but i kind of let everything out here i just love this game :’)

Why I love ACNH: It is such a fun an calming game. It is very satisfying and some of the villagers are so cute. The community is just amazing they are so kind with such a good personality. It is a positive fun game and one of my favorite past times because of these reason.

WHY I LOVE ANCH: I love NH because of all the new features, items and graphics! Of course there are still many more new features to come in future updates, but the ones so far have truly shown the potential, time, and dedication they put into giving us the best they have to offer so far in the AC series. I was one of the people who were not angry or taken aback by the delay of its release as I knew it was for a reason; they didn't want to put out a half-done game that doesn't possess all the necessary features that they wanted to showcase. Giving themselves more time to make the game up to our expectations while also stirring up our curiousity, furthering our eagerness for the game was a smart move on their part. Though NL is still my favourite AC game, I can't wait for the future updates NH has coming to blow our minds away!

WHY I LOVE ANCH:

I bought ACNH to play with my 3-year-old son, thinking it might be a fun way to introduce him to video-games. What I didn't expect was for him to get quite so much from it: he can name every fish, dinosaur and insect on sight; he's learned about fossils and extinction; he's now a budding interior designer / wedding planner / fashion designer...and we have so much fun playing it together for a little bit most days. Seeing him enjoying the game is great; seeing him learning so much from it is priceless.

Why I Love ACNH: I have always loved playing Animal Crossing, but I have to say that ACNH is hitting me different in the feels. With everything going around in the world right now, I was feeling so defeated...so angry at the world and society. I feel like I needed to escape the real world even just for a moment to maintain sanity and ACNH has been helping a lot with that. I can log on and have my wonderful little villagers greet me and everything just seems so peaceful and relaxed---so happy...everything in which I was the real life would be like...In short, ACNH is my burst of sunshine whenever I feel like I am in the depths of darkness. It always manages to pull me out and remind me that there is still good in the world even if I don't currently feel or see it. And plus, there's Dom. His little fluffy cuteness is enough to make me smile lolol<3

WHY I LOVE ANCH: I've been around animal crossing since the city folk days and there's something so nice about having the game kind of 'grow up' with me, and it's especially nice to have it now since I'm kind of going into a new stage of my life and so I can bring something forward with me that's always been there. Also what with quarantine and everything I've kind of had more time to really delve into the game (as we all have lmao) and so I think it's become kind of part of me.

WHY I LOVE ANCH: acnh came out during a really stressful time; with the pandemic and some of the issues that my family is going through, this game is a godsend. it helps to distract from whatever bad stuff is going on irl and also allows me to interact with people without actually having to interact with them. i love that we can place furniture outside now and the graphics are literally breathtaking - i just love all the people i’ve met throughout this and the creative freedom that this game gives us. i love the little rush of excitement i get whenever i come up with an idea for my island - my island won’t look half as nice as others i’ve seen but it’ll look better than any of my new leaf towns ever did and that alone is exciting ;u;

WHY I LOVE ACNH: Because its seen me through lockdown here in the UK. My family is extremely clinically vulnerable which here in the UK meant that you couldnt leave the house at all. What at first felt like something a bit different soon became complete isolation and loneliness. ACNH specifically has offered a way for me to still live some kind of life just differently, it meant I could hang out with my friends, laugh and cry together. Its become a bit of a crutch but as we come out the other side I know it will always hold a special place in my heart!

WHY I LOVE ANCH: I've been naming my animal crossing town "Home" ever since I played it on the gamecube as a little girl. I think I was in kindergarten because I couldn't read what the villagers would say completely (LOL!) When asked on the train by Rover, "Where are you going?" I immediately said "Home!" because as a child I didn't understand the process of naming the town (I named one of my towns Hotel on the gamecube version thinking it would be hotel-themed loll) But ever since then I have named my town Home as a tradition. The Animal crossing games have brought me so much joy over the years, but they really outdid themselves on New Horizons. They made the game 1000x more player friendly, interactive, and enjoyable. I have been able to become friends with people across the world because of this game! The community surrounding animal crossing is one of my favorite things about new horizon <3

WHY I LOVE ACNH: Have you ever played stardew valley and thought "man, this game would be so much better if you didn't have to do those daily chores and could just do what you want?" or the sims and thought "Instead of having control over this character, i want to be the character". Well ACNH is that game for me. I love it because it gives me the customization of a sims game, with the town feel of a harvest moon game where I can be myself and just enjoy time hanging around my town and my fellow villagers. and also it's just really relaxed to play while you do something else. it doesn't require a whole lot of concentration

WHY I LOVE ANCH: It’s so fun to play, there’s so much you can do + you never get bored. You can make the island look the way you want it to, you can visit other people’s islands + help them get items + etc. I like that they have updates with events~ I did love the wedding event! WHY I LOVE ANCH: I've decided to take a different approach to NH than how I played in NL (actually getting items from nooks/ables/gulliver etc and looking for villagers myself instead of buying everything online) and I'm really enjoying it. I also find it very relaxing to terraform or decorate my island and I love talking to all the cute villagers, so I'm having a lot of fun!

WHY I LOVE ANCH: I typically love games with an economy. So with this weaken econ after the duplication oversight I still wheel and deal or giveaway whenever I can.

It another opportunity to play another game with the gf.

With the antiquated coding and mediocre QoL I still love designing stuff. Especially the interior because i can pan the camera. Rearrange stuff or creating themes with limited furniture or have to craft a million fence one at a time.

WHY I LOVE ANCH: I love nature, plants, animals, etc, but I live in the City; so when I found this game it made my dreams of living in a forest kind of true, lol. I am also a very introverted person, so I don’t have much friends in real life, so as silly as it sounds, the little animals make me so happy with their kind, pure and unconditional friendship. This game is so pure, has no evil in my opinion, and I love a game that makes you live that kind of utopian fantasy
I also have found that in general, specially in this forum, the animal crossing community is so kind and giving, and I love that, I have made some friends here.

WHY I LOVE ANCH: I love everything about the Animal Crossing series. What I'm loving most about New Horizons is being able to place plots where you want them, and it's adorable how you have to craft some interior and exterior items for their houses. I've just started playing, so I haven't unlocked terraforming yet - but I am super excited to try this out, and having actual designated paths rather than placing custom patterns down looks really interesting! I've also seen villagers singing and exercising and I think that is a really neat addition!
