I always wanted to open the packs to get the surprise of not knowing what I'd get. I got into ACNL and the cards a lot later than when they came out, so they were already way too expensive for me to justify buying.
Anyways I love randomness and surprise box type stuff, so I would love to open some packs and experience the RUSH of the unknown lmao.

As amazing as this is, there’s no way that they’re doing this because of scalpers. This is 100% because they see that the homemade sellers on Etsy are doing so well making made-to-order amiibo and they want a piece of that.

But honestly, good for them. You gotta listen to what the market wants. And the market wants amiibos. I’ll definitely be buying some, especially if they make them for the new ones like Judy and Audie!

Praying that this hits the states sometime soon, I have a lot of slots in my binder I'd like to fill!
Really wish I got the packs when they were sold in stores back in the day(wonder what stores they were even in) because it would've made me feel super nostalgic for when I would get Pokémon cards when I was a kid. Maybe they'll come back, how exciting!

So to my understanding the Japanese cards are region locked? Lmao why? Why is region locking even a thing anymore...

That would surprise me. The original AC cards, both Series 1-4 and Welcome Amiibo, aren't region-locked--a friend brought me some back from Japan after she went on vacation. The only issue is that the villager name is in kanji so if I don't recognize the character I don't immediately know their name and have to look it up.

Super excited for this! I have a few of my favorite villagers, but it has been a goal of mine to have every villager's amiibo card. It's honestly really sad how much certain cards are already and I'd never pay more than a few dollars for one.

Wow. This is actually really nice. I wanted to start collecting these but couldn’t because of ridiculous prices. I found a bunch of my old e-reader cards while cleaning my room and I kinda want to have an animal crossing binder with those and the amiibo cards(also lowkey want to get them for my town but yeah. That isn’t as high priority for me)

I really, really hope this is true so I can finally buy more packs and try to complete my collection instead of having to frequently re-trade what little cards I have to get the ones I want ;w; They're way too expensive, I can't even justify buying a single pack right now..

Yeah, I would think so, though I can't personally confirm it. I'm sure if you google it someone has asked/answered the question for sure. I only know that some of my cards came from Japan, and are the Japanese version of the card (some of the cards that my friend brought back for me looked like UK or US cards so I assume some eBaying was happening).

it would work, but the UK nintendo store doesnt ship outside the UK
