Were they making money off it, if they didn't I don't see why they shut it down?
Because, they think that it would make an amount of people stop playing pokemon and just play it on other pokemon MMO site.

Bummer, it looked pretty fun. :<
I guess they technically had the right to since it was, like, copping their ideas and everything. But it wasn't very sportsman like. D= I highly doubt people would stop playing pokemon to go on that game.

I saw this earlier.

Either Nintendo hates its fan base or it doesn't want a free MMO that it didn't make.

Typical Nintendo. Doesn't approve of anything that is not made by them.
which TOTALLY explains why they allow the Hundreds of pokemon fan games and other MMOs as well as zelda and mario related hacks and fangames,

theyve only shut down 2 things to my knowledge:

The hero of time Zelda fan Movie
and this.

Wow, that looks amazing. You can tell 6 years worth of work has went into that. I hope that they are able to release that otherwise it'd be a huge waste.

They'll get to GPX+ next...
No,
They've done the right thing and said all copyrights reserved etc.
PLUS they've prob asked permission, like the ones which have been around for ages have.
