Nintendo Makes Shoes...?

I was searching for a Nintendo DSi signature on google images, when I came across this one photo.

Anyway, if you look at the shoe on the left side of the screen, it looks like it says "ashley." So, apparently at some point in time, nintendo made custom mario shoes that you could get your name on.

Orrrrr....

Some crazed fan took 2 years out of their life, trying to make the perfect nintendo shoes. It's probably the first one though.
 
The reason it says Ashley on the shoe is because it's the name of the person who made those shoes (or so I think) xD . Don't worry if this made you look dumb, it's life. We make mistakes all the time ;) .
