Nintendo Easter Eggs

I miss the items that were Easter eggs of other games that you could get from the fortune cookies. I’m hoping in future updates that they will include them again! I especially liked the Legend of Zelda items and would love to have them in New Horizons

The tulip surprise box is a reference to the Thumbelina fairy tale. Recolor versions have the princess look like Peach and Daisy from Mario.

The bamboo doll is a reference to Princess Kaguya from Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

The peach doll is a reference to Momotaro, a Japanese folktale.

Squid flavor text is a reference to Bloopers and Splatoon.

I totally forgot about the mini peach and daisy in the surprise boxes lol. There definitely are references in the game, I just gotta look a little harder. Having specific items like in new leaf would be nice too lol

I really want some Metroid stuff. The Samus mask, Varia Suit, Varia Suit pants, and Varia Suit shoes. What would make this cooler is if they made a Metroid Fusion version of the Bounty Hunter Outfit set.

What I miss the most is from the first game on the gamecube where you could get NES game consoles and actually play the old games. It was a super cool easter egg

I got sooo excited when Gullivarr mentioned Linebeck if you refuse to help him find his phone. I know he’s a pit of Nintendo Easter eggs but I have a huge amount of nostalgia for Phantom Hourglass

TBH this is the first Animal Crossing game that doesn't have any Mario/Nintendo items.

The squid tanks in NL somewhat have a small pink arrow sticker which is also a Splatoon reference.

Not sure if this counts as an easter egg, but the best conversation I've ever had was with Filbert 'knowing'/referencing their life was a video game.
Also, the autograph cards (illustration) have some actual shows on them

Omg I remember trying to get the hero clothes so badly! I would love it if Nintendo added fortune cookies again, but instead of play coins, they should do another currency to buy the fortune cookies, or just pay with IGB xD that also reminds me when I got to pick items from Epona and Wolf Link, I picked the lon lon milk and hylian shield lol

I have not seen too many Easter Eggs in NH but I remember the space set in NL ( the one with the chairs and holograms) was a reference to star trek next generation (I'm pretty sure). I hope this set makes it into NH at some point!
