I'm not entirely sure people read Youtube's T&C's about this, they've always been there. This is surely expected, and not really a big deal?
I mean if you uploaded a whole movie and gave it commentary and were profiting from that you would expect it to be taken down. Now in this situation they are not even taking the videos down, they are just using the advertising on these videos. Is that really a big a deal. Maybe for those who are making these videos for the money, but Youtubers who do it for fun like Lin&Ko for example would remain completely unbothered. Should you really be profiting from recording a whole game made by someone else anyway? Do it with a film or a music video and you would have them down in no time I'm sure.
Just my thoughts haha. I would just like to mention again that Nintendo are not removing any videos.
