I LOVE this game, but I'm shocked at how few people have even heard it, let alone played it. It was made by Studio Ghibli for crying out loud! How come it's not on anyone's radar? The game is about six months old by now, but even when I cosplayed the White Witch, no one at Emerald City Comic Con recognized me.

So what about you guys? Any of you ever played this awesome rpg?

I've been meaning to pick it up for a while now, was about to when Best Buy had it for $20 but they were sold out when I got there. :( Nobody's probably picked up on it because it's a niche PS3 game, perhaps if the DS version came over more people could have recognized it.

I got it on release day and completed everything in it, and boy was it a blast. Its pre-order for the special edition actually ran into an entire fiasco, and I nearly missed the chance to pre-order a standard edition. It isn't as obscure as it appears. As Tom says, however, it is niche because it is aesthetically Ghibli, but mechanically Level-5, so it only resonated strongly with fans of either and thus comparatively little with other games.

It is definitely an inspired breath of fresh air with exploration and everything good about JRPGs in an otherwise seemingly stale and predictable JRPG market.

I have no idea what this game is. But I might play it if I hear something good about it.

And what does JRPG stand for? I thought there was only such things as RPG's in that genre.

JRPG is typically means Japanese Role Playing Game as their RPGs are very different from WRPG (Western RPGS) typically both by visuals and story. Persona and Fire Emblem fall into the JRPG, while Fallout and Dragon Age fall into WRPG.

man I don't wanna import anything else but it looks great

If you're in the States, it's already released. In Japan, they have their own language version.

I have an unopened Collector's Edition. Have been trying to complete my other PS3 games first, haha. ^o^

I'm a huge Ghibli fan and had been excited to play this game for a long time! I've finished it now and was very impressed with it (not surprisingly).

Did you have a mask for your cosplay or use face paint/makeup? I've not seen anyone do the White Witch but I definitely would recognize it!

I played it a few months ago. I thought it was sweet, but a few little things bugged me! I'm surprised no one recognised your cosplay though.
