If the default skin color for every character in the game was a level 5 tan, would you be of the same mind?So I get how this can be a big issue to you guys, but aren't you two taking the arguments a bit overboard? Besides, i don't think you should let the issue of skin color get in the way.
But the game is imported to countries that do have a broad range of skintones, and if Nintendo can make new events and special items for these countries they can add the feature of changing skin colors.Um, it is.
The game is made in Japan where almost nobody even has so much as a decent tan, that's why many Japanese games or other media almost never have darker characters. Developers make what relates to themselves or the demographic they're targeting. Heck, it's taken Pokemon almost 20years to have the option to make darker characters and that's only because not only is it a global giant of a franchise, but it's starting to take place in different settings of the globe as well.
Sure, I agree skin options should be in the game even from just a customization perspective but it's not like it's not directly there because of any negative racial issue.
