If I recall correctly, there's 8 colors and two models of hats. My island doesn't have the purple, the red and the other two colors (I think they're orange and deep blue, as the aqua one is listed as light blue in the catalog)

I wanna buy some pointed hats as well. I can open my island for those who want the top hats in Yellow, Green, Pink and Aqua/Light Blue colors.

Like Raz said, there's 8 different colors and two models. Every island have 4 different colors. I don't know if they have different models too. You should trade with people if you want to collect all of them

You get a new model and four new colors each year. From what I read.

Yes. I have visited two friends now and you can get different variants of the New Year's Hats.
I do hope that someone is able to help me to get the last four New Year's Hats that I am wanting to get.
