New town goal Challenge

I just created a new town. i am not deleting it or restarting till New Horizons comes out. I did sell my old town and got some money from it so I know I might be cheating on my new goal in a sense but whatever. I am making up a challenge for myself till the new game comes out.

Here is my goal for the next 9 months:
-Complete the catalog
-Complete the museum
-Get a perfect town
-Complete the shops
-Try to get all badges (if its possible)
-Make the town nice with a good set up and paths

Here are my rules for the next 9 months:
-No time traveling
-no hacking the game (going to get rid of everything now so i can't and update my DS)
-Your allowed to ask for help with items
-remember to have fun and try not to hate your town.
-love all my characters and be friends with all of them.

here goes my challenge what do you guys think. if you think i should add anything to it let me know.

On here i am going to try to update and almost journal my days and what i have accomplished.

My goals are the same as yours, except i'm not deleting/restarting it when the game comes out. I even set the mayor's birthday to the release date of New Horizons.

Now. I would create a blog about this, but it would seem a bit too hectic for the time I have. Oh well, I'm just glad i'm not the only one doing this.

Yeah i won't document everything but big goals. yeah my other town was hacked and it was all messed up so it wasn't good to do everything with.

Ouch. Oh, by the way. If you ever encounter a hacker on Club Tortimer, it's a necessity to not ask them for anything, as I consider that cheating. Unless you're with a non hacker, you can ask them for items, just not gold tools and the like. That's one of the rules i'll be using.

Also, about the villagers, I choose what villagers I want in that town instead of having them come and go. I'm not having that.

Whats club tortimer?
No i'm all done hacking. Yeah I'm not asking anyone for anything unless its like flowers or like that. i am going to let any villager come to my place and be friendly with them. i was always so picky and judgy i might as well like everything for the next 9 months and meet new characters and see if i like them.

Today was a good first day. i got a lot of bugs and some fossils. I didn't get a fishing rod today, but hopefully soon.
I spent some money at the shops to fill up my category. I also went to a friends town and got my hair done and a bed at her shops.

My town was created today but i think my ds is a day early so technique the date is wrong.
In my town i have:
Apple the peppy hamster
Goldie the normal dog (my favorite right now)
Mott the jock lion
Al the lazy gorilla
Monique the snooty cat

it was a good first day. i am signing off for now. Hopefully check in and play a little bit for the next few days after or before work.

You can get a Fishing Rod by talking about town advice from Isabelle. Tell her you wanna do fishing, then say you don't have one. Isabelle will sell you one for 500 bells.

i'm doing something similar. only thing i'm doing different that i've never done before is i'm making my town have the opposite season from irl, like what nh would let you do. so when i remake, i'm making it in December. i'm also making my mayor's birthday the opposite of mine irl. instead of August 6, it would be February 6

I wanted to try this too, but with a second town so I wouldn?t have to erase my original town. I wouldn?t use it to send money or anything, just to keep and visit once in a while. I think starting over helps with keeping the game interesting! It can get old sometimes es when you can time travel and hack to get everything you want. Good luck!

Yeah ive been looking into it i might have people help me. But with bugs and fish do you think i can finish it without traveling?

because completing the meusum means completing the fish/bug/deep sea creatures collections, which would take at minimum just over 11 months without time travelling. assuming you did everything flawlessly

I'm also doing this, especially since I don't even have a town anymore and haven't for awhile (deleted my first town and haven't been motivated since then).

My set of rules:
- pick one of the first four towns offered without resetting once
- no time traveling
- no use of any amiibos

There may be more rules, but I couldn't think of any more than this as I'm posting this.

Also, since I had no town to begin with, I'm also starting with 0 bells. I'm earning everything from scratch.
I want to see how much I can get done in 9 months.

Goals I would like to reach:
- complete museum (as much as i can anyway within 9 months)
- get the t&t emporium
- max my house size
- complete some furniture sets
- get most of my dreamies for that town, if not all
- get a perfect town
