New to the Update

Hi!! Who I am is self-explanatory from my profile page. My problem is I haven't been on these forums in quite some time, let alone my ACNL game. I just updated it on New Years Eve and everything is still confusing.

What are Meow Cards? How do you get them? What's this mention about RVs? I don't own any amiibo stuff and I feel kind of left out on all of this.

I need some sort of explanation, please help!!

MEOW coupons are mostly gained by doing daily tasks that the game randomly gives you. You can find out what they are by going to your profile/Mayor Card thing and there's a new tab for it. When you've successfully done the task, you can collect the MEOW coupons from the new CAT machine that is by the town hall.

You use those MEOW coupons in the new campground area. You'll see a new area on your map with an arrow pointing over to the side. If you walk over there, you'll see a new character named Harvey.

Even if you don't have amiibos and don't plan to buy any, you can use your MEOW coupons to buy brand new items from Harvey. Each day a few new items will appear on the deck area next to him. If you click on them, you can go through the buying process. Also, every day a random special character will have an RV parked in your campground. Some characters that can show up there are Zipper, Franklin, and Blanca, but more can show up too. You can also use your MEOW coupons to buy things from their RVs. Most RVs are amiibo only, but like I said - there will still be some characters that can show up every day even without owning amiibo.

You'll also get whichever police dog you DON'T build the style for in random RVs - so I built the modern one, and Booker visits my campsite every so often.

So do I simply wait until tasks come to me? All that happened since the update was a genie appearing, who is now collecting dust in his lamp inside of my house.

The tasks are in your TPC tab, where your Town information is, so you need to check that everyday for 2 new tasks, and 2 other tasks you get a week to complete! Hope that helps
