New Nook Miles Islands?

Its been a good while since I last used tickets for their actual purpose but I just did it tonight since I needed some wood got an island I've never been to before. My apologies if this is known but I havent seen any posts about it so I assume it hasn't.

I've named it rare beetle island as the island continuously spawns beetles just like tarantula/scorpion island. Its completely filled with cedar trees in every direction except the beach (palm trees). So is this a new thing or am I just slow?

It looks like it could be Tree Island (map #14) based on the images. I think it's been in the game the whole time, but it may have only just become available for Northern Hemisphere islands since we are only now getting access to all the tree bugs.

Oh yes this is probably it. The map and bugs matches perfectly. The only difference that its cedar trees rather than hardwood

Damn, I didn't realize i got gold island. I didn't even bother with the rock because I was too busy catching scorpions instead... Missed opportunity.

They do have some islands that seem to be at least seasonal from the update. I was trying to figure out an island for somebody else and reading them shows some of them that only do the fish with fins or specific bugs (such as scorpions) only show up during that season.
