New Mario themed furniture coming to Animal Crossing - in March 2021

Oh hey, would you look at this... I predicted that this was going to be added in to tie in with the Mario anniversary.
However, it's in March. Oof.

I don't think it's going to be linked to Fortune Cookies, instead I think it's going to be in the promo tab of Nook Shopping along with the Pocket Camp tie-in items... probably alongside the stuff from the other Nintendo franchises (whenever that's added in)

(on a related note, I'm also hoping for some GC-related items for Doubutsu no Mori's 20th anniversary next April?)

Will be interesting to see if it's even "new" furniture...or if it's literally the classic items we had in past games. Hopefully a combination of both. I feel like it would be a huge kick in the head to give us the exact same stuff we used to have. At that point, it's obvious that they just held off for an occasion such as this.

Nice to see the Mario items will be coming back! A bit of a wait, but oh well. My guess is it'll be the classic items redone, but maybe some new stuff. I rarely used the Mario stuff, though. The Toad hat, the super star, and Peach's dress were among the few items I really liked.

I scrapped my basement arcade and moved all of my arcade machines to the boardwalk I made. But...when this set comes out, I will put it all in my basement, and I will do the arcade thing right. A mix of Mario theme and generic game stuff. Either that, or I'll just dedicate an entire corner of my island to being Super Mario World. Lol.

Maybe they do the Zelda and Star Fox stuff when they release N64 mini. And Metroid when Prime 4 finally releases.

Either way...yeah, kinda obnoxious that they're obviously holding out for special dates.

I agree with you. The update model has its perks but it also has a few things that irks me.

I didn't watch the video, too long.

I'm not a fan of Mario stuff. I didn't like it when it was in Pocket Camp, TWICE. The only thing that will be of any sort of interest to me is Princess Peach's dress, crown or a wig with crown. Anythin relating to her is cool, but everything else is no.

I didn't realize there was Pocket Camp stuff. I assumed this was in reference to the Mario stuff that goes all the way back to the original Animal Crossing. Stuff like the ? Block, Flag Pole, Coin, etc.

If we have to wait until the 35th anniversary of Zelda to get Zelda items (And fingers crossed, maybe Zelda villagers), that's gonna suck.
