I could have sworn I posted this but I guess I forgot to submit it.

The problem in ACNL is that there are too many ponds and rocks scattered everywhere. because of that its difficult to place PWP and houses in an orderly fashion. Don't get me wrong, I know Rover lets you choose what layout you want. That's great, I love that! But it just ruins your plans you had for those spots. I reset my game like 50 times already because of these flaws!

AAARRRGGHHH!!

Just try to adapt your ideal layout to the town's layout, don't try to get a perfect town layout from the beginning. You may end up crazy, there'll always be somethin in the "wrong" place. You just have to make up your mind and thing something different for that zone :)

I think you can make out of every map something really good! For example I love my first town - and I picked a layout from the first four options :)

I feel like Mokuren does. When I chose my first map I had no idea there were more than 4 out there. Some of the map I was lucky with but alot I wasn't. But I have worked around the trouble spots to make it a town I now love.

My only real concern with these things are the houseplots. Way back in the days of the gamecube version and Wild World when you had permanent possible houseplot areas with the little signs. While they could get in the way, at least you knew where your new villagers were going to be and you could plan your town accordingly. You didn't have to plot reset. Those were the days...

I don't understand the point of resetting for rocks and ponds unless they're in the way of something that absolutely will not work elsewhere. Part of my enjoyment comes from working with what I was given and making the best of it. c:
