New Leaf Party

I'm so sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I'm not really sure where to post it!

Anyway, my brother wants to have a New Leaf birthday party and I would appreciate some decoration ideas... I have come up with using a green table cloth and putting green triangles on it to look like grass, wrapping his presents like the balloon gifts that fly over your town, and having his cake look like a fossil icon. But other than that, does anyone have any decoration ideas (specifically on plates, balloons, or any other decorations)

You can make Isabelle, Tom Nook, Digby, Reese, Blathers, and other characters like that out of construction paper and put them on the walls.
You can also make paper mache clay sculptures, or dolls of the characters in ACNL.

you can put those cute little food items in acnl from like streetpass and stuff on plates

As for balloons I'd go with simple ones, fill them with helium and tie a small "present" to them (not a real one, just a prop). Obvious idea seems to be to get acnl leafs as a bounting (real leafs if you can find ones that look similar or oaper ones), maybe cookies decorated like badges?

There are some cute ideas here, like a punny fishing game and party favor ideas. My first thought was kaiminalcrossing's party, though you've already come up with ideas for most of the same things she did.

OMG so man cute ideas! there are definetly some that I will have to try! But keep in mind (I probably should have said this to begin with) that this is a small family party not some large-scale kids party, so we are not going to do anything tooo excessive (like party games, goody bags, etc)

for balloons, if at all possible, you could get them in the same shapes as the streetpass balloons? like some regular balloons, some heart-shaped and some bunny-shaped?

I think a cute idea for the plates (if they're the typical plastic white ones) is to make them look like pitfalls.


You could also try to recreate the Birthday Sign the villagers give you, and maybe draw or print his favourite villagers and hang them on the walls.

Another idea for the cake is recreating the AC Birthday Cake like this;



Maybe you could do fossil and pitfall cupcake/cookies?

As many have said, having white presents with red bows tied to coloured balloons could look really nice ^^
