My favorite thing about the update is like others have mentioned, the update itself but also like that I am able to build on the pier. I setup a surf shop with boards, shoes and wetsuit.

I'm very happy to be back on ACNH thanks to the new update (after 2 years and three months, according to my villagers - woops). I got kind of tired of HHD but am enjoying designing the hotel rooms thus far thanks to their varied themes. My favourite one to design was the second room which I did in a Japanese theme - I modelled it after the hotel that my family stayed at in Kyoto last year

Another thing I really like from the update is the Splatoon items and villagers, since Splatoon is one of my favorite games. I think its also super cute that instead of making new villagers, they brought back the cosplay squirrels (Cece and Viche)

I honestly didn't expect that I would like tourists so much, but I just love them! They make my island feel more alive, it's fun to meet new (and old!) villagers, and they all look so adorable with little Smallfries on their heads

New Horizons Update Version 3.0 Giveaway

With the release of the Free Update Ver.3.0 and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we thought a giveaway would be the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of Kapp'n's family and much more!

We'll be raffling off Nintendo eShop cards for 2 lucky winners, which can be used to buy the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack (or if you don't have a Switch 2, whatever else you like)! As a bonus, every entry will earn 30 Bells! You can enter up to twice to earn Bells (60 Bells total), but each member will only be entered into the Nintendo eShop card raffle once.

How to Enter

1. Take an in-game screenshot showing one of your favorite features from the Ver.3.0 Free Update! This could be a room you decorated in your hotel, using the new collaboration items, making a Slumber Island with friends, or more!
2. Write a caption for your image (1-3 sentences).
3. Include two screenshots in total:
   • Your entry
   • A proof shot of your in-game character saying your TBT username.
4. Check the entry box when posting.

Two winners will each receive one Nintendo eShop gift card valued at: USD $10 (United States), CAD $10 (Canada), GBP £15 (United Kingdom), EU €15 (Europe), or AUD $15 (Australia). Unfortunately, we're unlikely to be able to provide eShop cards for other regions, sorry! Each member with at least one accepted entry will be entered into a randomly drawn raffle (one raffle entry per member).

A: To take a screenshot, press the ⧇ "Capture Button" (a square button with a circle inside of it) on the left Joy-Con. You can take pictures using the Camera app in your Nook Phone. To access the Camera app, press the "SL" button on the left Joy-Con to bring up your Nook Phone menu, and then select the purple Camera or Pro Camera app. While in the Camera app, take a picture by pressing the "+" button on the right Joy-Con.
