New Horizons Fruit

So in New Leaf there were 13 fruit varieties (Apple, orange, pear, cherries, peach, mango, lemon, banana, coconut, permission, lychees, durians, and bamboo (shoots). Now in NH there are only 7 varieties.

While the new graphics on the fruit look great, I am disappointed about half of the fruit varieties appearing in New Horizons. I was expecting all of those varieties plus a few new ones such as grapes or new ones replacing a few of the old ones to appear, but since the Nook Miles thing only shows 7 varieties I doubt they will be in the game soon. I am hoping that sometime in the future (maybe Earth Day) they add in more fruit varieties and possibly some new ones. I really enjoyed all the varieties in NH and I was looking forward to them plus new ones bing in New Horizons. What are your thoughts on the fruit in NH?

Yes, my hope is that the Earth Day event adds them in. Guess we'll find out next week. Also, there are 7 varieties in NH as things stand. You said 6. But...it's apple, orange, pear, peach, cherry, coconut, (and bamboo shoots are still in...making 7).

I don't really mind. They mostly carry cosmetic differences, since all non-native fruit is worth the same.

I feel like Animal Crossing is 90% "cosmetic" to begin with.

In the end, you use money to buy things that you enjoy the look of. Most of our time is spent creating these custom islands that represent who we are. So...yeah. I think the cosmetic or aesthetic details are honestly way more important than the value of things...

I don’t really miss the exotic fruits... except for lemons!!! I really hoped they would be in, just for the aesthetics of course. And I wouldn’t mind plums, don’t ask me why but I thought they would fit in

Omg I hope they bring in new fruits... I really want grapes as you said and also mango because mango is my favourite fruit in real life. Also because mango is yellow and yellow is just a cool colour. It would match my house roof and my airport sooooo. I’d hope you could have maybe a native fruit and a native beach fruit so you could have say apples on the main part of the island and on the beach you could have coconuts or bananas or some other tropical fruit. I think it’d be cool to have that mix
