Yes, the latest Chrome update changed font rendering on Windows as DirectWrite is finally supported.

If you absolutely despise it, you can disable DirectWrite in Chrome by going to chrome://flags/ and your fonts should render as they previously did.

Hey Justin - I tried to figure out how to do this via chrome://flags but I cannot. Would you be able to state step by step how to do this? I assumed I would go to chrome setting, and look for flags...but no luck.

you just type "chrome://flags/" into the search bar and it takes you there (by search bar i mean the url search bar, not the settings search bar)
