New events and it's up to you?!

A water lantern festival would be lovely. It'd be fun to join my villagers/friends in releasing and watching lanterns float across the water. Could design them similarly to how we are now able to customize fireworks.

Pave totally seems like someone who'd go all out for pride, lmao.
Though part of me wants it, the other part of me knows my parents would cease to let me play if officially added.

Yeah, it would be a huge leap to see implemented. It took this long to even get the different player skin tones in both AC and Pokemon. I'm sure many would boycott sadly even if Nintendo made the DLC optional. But it's definitely a nice dream and awesome imagery imagining the villagers dressed up parading around with Pave while confetti falls from the sky. I could imagine little pride flags being given out by Isabelle.

April 30th is National Shelter Adoption Day. Would be cool if maybe Shampoodle showed up and had a mini doggo/kitty you could adopt and she could offer grooming aka customizing services to the one you choose. They could be equipped like other tools and when out follow behind your player wherever you go unless swimming. If you have the pet items like pet bed, food bowl, cat tower...they could interact if close to them.

An ocean festival! It’s such a big part of new horizons and I think it could be fun likely would have increased spawn rates for rare fish and instead of timed point-per-fish like the fishing tourney it would be based off the rarity level of your fish over the day. Decor would be more tropical themed than the fishing tourney was well, coral reef rocks and maybe some seaweed. A model sunken ship would be cute too

I would love to see a monthly event where, for a day, at least one villager gets his or her own visitor in the form of a parent or grandparent. Because Claude and Zucker always talk about their grandmas, I think it'd be great if their grandmas actually visited!

Surprised there wasn't some type of St. Patrick's day event... something with pots of gold and rainbows.

I would like a visiting carnival type event where the whole plaza is full of games and attractions.

Maybe a boat show or parade across the water.

Looking forward to what they're planning for Halloween!

i would love a friendship day! like when Isabelle gives the announcements she'll say it's time to celebrate with your best buddies and there will be a big theme park/carnival set up by the town hall. you'll get a present in the mail from your parents of a friendship pin/bracelet/trinket/necklace or something that you can give one half to your fav villager and spend a fun full day riding rides ect with them like they'll fallow you all day after you gift them, then once you decide to end it for the day they'll give you a photo (not the normal one cuz then it'd kinda be like april fools day in NL and hold no meaning). in PC they did stuff kinda like this where you got a rose or a basket from who you picked.

You are speaking my language, I would love a Shark Week-esque thing with CJ giving out new Ocean themed DIYs and like you said new furniture, floors and walls

Definitely a St. Patrick's Day event, where the rivers/fountains/ponds turn green, a rainbow in the sky all day, and there are leprechauns. Oh and the return of the four-leaf clover, of course
