New Dupe Glitch...

No one actually hates TTing. People who are verbally abusive towards TTers are just projecting their internal problems by shifting blame on people. (Maybe not? but there's people who kinda compared TTing to war crimes of the world so LMAO idek what's their damage)

Glitches on the other hand are VERY dangerous and could destroy every single effort you put into. I don't know what is the extent of this glitch but it can flag spaces as unusable and unfixable. Making that area useless (since you can't even put stuff on it.)

Maybe the people who are doing it are aware of that consequences so it's their choice and not rly my problem but for those who are unaware, a heed of warning when someone temp. blinded by greed could help. Human nature isn't exactly known for rational decision-making.
Okay unrelated but your avatar randomly opened it's eyes at me and gave a heart attack.

On the other note, thanks for defending TT

This reminds me of the app people are using to scan in villagers without amiibo - I guess using it in your own game is fine, but if someone was to abuse it for making profit, it just makes the game's economy worse.
True but it's not even bad. Like if a raymond amibo comes out prices are gonna skyrocket to 10000 dollars, but you could just make your own :/

But yeah I agree, profit abuse would suck, but then it would make villagers cheaper soo I mean there is two sides to it

TT is another story.
We hate glitches because it ruins the game's economy and makes NMT worth like 300k IGB each at worst when the game puts them at being worth, like, around 10k each
Question, doesn't glitches make things cheaper? If there's more supply of a product, even if it's duped, regular player can't tell the difference and as sellers (legit or not) fight for sale, they'll keep lowering the value of the items.

If anything it'll ruin the opportunity for a legit owner of the product to make a bunch of IGB due to competing with a flood of dupes.

I thought her blinking would give anyone heart attack. (my island rep is a weirdo so yea)

I'm a TTer myself so I'm somewhat biased but I do think we have an advantage over non-tters. THOUGH. My TTing is mainly for villager evictions and landscaping so it's just minor convenience. My island is still ugly as hell and I'm dirt poor oof.

Oh lord, I just researched what NMT was and /(O-O)/ WHAT! Inflation and demand are crazy for NH. Nintendo needs to patch this game and bring back amiibo cards to stop this madness. New horizons' economy and bug spawn rate are broken to hell.
HOLY CRAP I LOOKED IT UP ON EBAY THAT MANY DOLLARS?

Technically yes, but only if the glitch is safe, glitched items and glitches are dangerous and could corrupt saves, no I'm not an intellectual, getting my info from Dormire, thank them.

You would think, but animal crossing doesn't host one market. It's all case by case and less experienced players don't know about the excess supply of duped items. So, someone might pay 50 NMT and the other might pay 1000 NMT

Fake amiibos have been a thing every since Nintendo released the overpriced scarce chunks of plastic. The app skips the middle man. If anything it helps people get their dreamie characters and lowers prices overall.

This way its not just items thatwill be in over supply, but bells as well (by selling duped items) hence the inflation

I'm surprised people who have a lot of the amiibo cards haven't been trying to scan in a villager, sell it for high price and then scan it in again, etc etc. I'm not sure how amiibo scanning works yet as I haven't tried it yet.

(I've done that before sorry if it's bad)

Likely already happening. I'm seeing the same people selling dreamie after dreamie for a higher price each time. I don't have NH, but it does seem suspicious

I don't mind fake amiibos at all, nor do I want villagers to be insanely pricey. However, I just think the use of the app would kill the villager trade, as people could just plonk in all the villagers they want - if someone couldn't use the app, they might find it difficult to trade for their own dreamies with other people, as the people using the app might not bother going through the effort of trading with others if they can get all of their dream villagers with the click of a button, if that makes sense?

No judgement from me!

I remember when amiibo card trading was HUGE when HHD came out and the New Leaf update. So I figured everyone had the cards. Now by looking around, it seems like nobody has them so I'm like, where did the cards go? Lol

We are aware that people are using this glitch on the forum, and are dealing with these members on a case by case basis. What you do in your own town is your business, but please note that selling, trading, or otherwise giving out duped items against the rules.
