Is this the type of controller that everyone uses? I don't hear of anyone else but me using the game pad.

It's a game cube controller. It's really the best controller to use for any smash game;; I sometimes go over to my friend's house to play ssb4 on his Wii U and I also play ssbpm on my own system with the controller.

I like the color you used. Also, Is that a third party controller you painted?

nah it's an official one. I hate that "nintendo gamecube" is gone because it looks empty but I also think most things stenciled on controllers looks lame too so oh well... idk. I've got another old one that I cleaned up and it works like it's practically brand new now. I'm thinking about taping off the gamecube writing and painting it a light tan or something idk. I should've just been patient enough to tape off the writing on this one honestly.

How do you guys do the A-up attack? I use the stick, but it's very hard to do it without accidentally jumping :C
I have a very easy time with it. Ive never really thought about HOW I do it though. I have a hard time triggering the tilt attacks. I try and do what everyone tells me to do but it only works like 20% of the time :(

On topic, that looks great! Man how did you paint it so well without getting ANYTHING on the buttons?

just disassembled it, it's pretty straightforward and easy to do with a triwing screwdriver.

also there are zones on the control stick and if you move the control stick beyond that you'll end up jumping. I posted a graphic on it somewhere from smashboards. just be gentle when you try for uptilts. alternatively you can always just turn off tap jump under the controller settings and you won't even have to worry about it!

I just set the right stick to attack instead of smash attack. Makes forward tilts easier to do as well.

That's a neat color. What kind of paint did you use and how does it feel? My biggest concern with painting a controller is how it would feel after your palms get sweaty.

Well I've given up trying to use up-A anyways, so it's all good XD Everyone who uses different controllers seem to be able to control their characters a lot faster.
