new clouds? (apparently there are seasonal clouds/weather!!!!)

they aren’t new, i was time traveling to winter and spring to move villagers out, and i saw these clouds. i also think they look really cool, but they didn’t come from the new update.

so yeah apparently they’ve always been a feature. but i never heard of special skies before. they’re seasonal, this is actually cool!
this is the cumulonimbus clouds and they could appear from july 21-sep 15. i had a lot of fun taking pics lol. can’t wait to see the other special weather types.
i read there’s a fog & fog on water weather type!!!! there was no pic provided though and i haven’t seen that yet omg

i’ve seen water fog (again, while time traveling)
it appeared very early in the morning all over my rivers. it seemed like a good time for a horror dream town ;o;

Oh boi where I live these clouds usually bring EXTREMELY bad weather so I was a bit nervous seeing them (at least the rainy season has ended).

Where-ish are you from? I'm from the Southeastern US and those are definitely big ol' thunderstorm clouds to me, too. Especially around hurricane season.

Midwest right in tornado alley. I’ll let ya know I had to spend time in a hotel because of one in the past decade lol
I've managed to avoid any serious run-ins with hurricanes despite living my whole life in the South and now Mid-Atlantic, but jeeeez am I afraid of tornados. You're braver than I am!

I'm pretty sure these clouds appeared in New Leaf too, although they weren't as detailed as they are here. Nice to see them return.

for southern hemisphere seasonal weather, we are getting mid-winter auroras on SOME clear nights. occasionally a villager will mention that it's coming that night but usually i've just had to find out for myself. they're so vivid and pretty!!!
