Like the title says... yesterday I just got Pecan to move in from someone's town. I turn on the game for the first time today and start a new character, to assure that the house doesn't get placed in a bad spot. First time I make the new character, Pecan's house is right in front of Retail, so I close the game and try again. Second time I make the character, her house is still in the exact same spot in front of Retail. Third and fourth times weren't a charm, either. And this isn't even the first time I've tried the new character trick.
What could have caused this? She plopped her house right on top of the bush starts I just got and its going to block the view of Retail as well... D:
I thought about that but it cant be either one. I tried again a 5th time (technically, I quit after the 4th but still had to go on a side character to sell turnips) and of course the house plot was still there. And I know for sure that there should be plenty of other spots she could have put her house, for example I have an orchard and fields of flowers (these places would have been even worse spots- but hey they are still options) and there are other great spots in between houses too.

I also really don't have that many PWPs. I have some street lamps, a flower clock, a flower arch in front of my house, a windmill, and thats really about it.
5 times might be too small a number for checking. When it's been over 10-15 tries and it's still the same place, then that's a very good time to worry.
Also, did you mention that you loaded a side character on the same village? In that case, then the new character trick definitely won't work, since the game had already saved the plot location when you loaded the pre-existing character.
I've had a house in the same spot 8 times and on the 9th it was somewhere else so it pays to keep going! However as mentioned above seeing as you went into your town as an already established character the house will now be saved in that position.
Dang it, I figured that it was way too much of a coincidence for it to stay in the same spot 4-5 times and I just gave up after that and accepted the fate and went on a different character. If I had known there was a chance of it still moving at the time I would have kept going, I figured it was stuck for good. Now I guess I either have to live with it or decide to just let Pecan move and get a different Snooty when the time comes.
If he was your super dreamy and it can be tolerate, is better =) but if you think you will gonna love another snooty, just let Pecan go when the time has come~~~
Yeah, it was kind of a hard choice for me. A lot of Snootys just look so.... up-tight and have that "im better than you" expression. Pecan just kind of looked sweeter to me. But I really don't know yet, im still undecided.
