So, I want to open a big crafting shop with all of the seasonal recipes available and nearly all other DIY ones too! And I found a good affordable way to price it so it’s more accessible for every user! But .... I have no idea how to price materials if the person ordering them can’t provide!

Seasonal should be more than just normal wood, yeah, but besides that... no idea!

I think it depends how many mats you would need and if it's hard to acquire? Cherry blossom stacks should definitely be priced more than softwood for sure. It's not much of an answer but I think if you need to farm the materials for them you should definitely at least charge something ;__; If you want to make it accessible I think bells would the the way to go.

I think you could possibly work it out by item or work it out with the individual user. Some items take little to no materials to make while others need an absurd amount of particular materials. If you price each piece of wood or stone, it could help you gauge how much crafting a particular item is. You could give discounts or raise prices for items that need more of a particular material (like the stone ones that need like, 60 stone per item)

Mhm! I was thinking bells would be easiest to gauge with stacks of items! Mostly thinking of the items for the ice furniture set since there’s multiple steps involved TwT and while I do want to get everyone their dream items it will take lots of time for material farming.... Mmhh... many thoughts!

Yeah! I was thinking of maybe just having it be a case by case basis instead of saying that a stack of an item will always be this much and so on.... especially in cases like the one stone arch that needs ninety stones because that’s so many! Thank you!

I was thinking the stone arch with my above comment haha 90 stone is insane! For seasonal recipes which need extra work like the ice, autumn and sakura stuff, you could add an additional fee, like a seasonal fee or something and explain that it's needed because of XYZ special steps that needs to be done and add it to your item fee. I think if it's laid out properly and detailed, people will understand all the hardwork that comes from it!

Yeah, the ice furniture is really time consuming to farm, and I think you need snowboy for some recipes(??) I think it's pretty reasonable to charge a bit more for that since you really have to go out of your way to make particular items with the different snowflakes.

Ah! Alright! Thank you! I worried that I’d come off as greedy if I made a bigger charge on the initial buy in price but this has helped me figure it might be alright in the seasonal cases! I’ll open the store some time today then and give a small charge on normal materials and a bigger surcharge on seasonal!

Yeah, you gotta make a snow boy to get the DIY and also to get one of the large snowflakes! Them and mushrooms are probably the most time consuming. >w< but ah, thank you too! I’ll be going with what you all suggested and then see how it goes today!

You could look at the subforum for trading items for ACNH and kinda see what people pay for them, try and find a price that you are ok with. There are some items that are going to be probably worth a bit more like easter eggs as you can't obtain them anymore so you might want to price a little higher (or not) Gl on your adventure :)

If people aren't willing to pay the price, it's either overpriced or people don't appreciate your hard work! More likely is that people will be more than happy to pay whatever price for seasonal items as long as it isn't outrageous. I've seen a bunch of mush furniture go for 5 NMT or more while some other things like Mom's items only go for 2-3 NMT. It really depends but don't be so worried about the pricing :)

Hahaha oh man I didn’t even think about needing eggs for the bunny day requests. Thankfully I kept a few. Thank you!
