Need some help please!

So after i got the golden can, ive started work on designing my town, i found some really good QR codes online for paths, rivers etc but one problem...
so ive placed all my paths down and it looks good, but now when i get a new QR code of a different design, whatever spot it to, it simply changes all those path pieces into the new design ive just saved?!

Is there anyway to stop this happening? I tried saving the designs but none of it works, everytime i get a new pattern it simply takes over the path...

Help please? Anyway to bypass this?

You have to create new characters and get the QR codes with them. A pattern slot is just overwriteable, you can't use two different patterns on one slot.
