Need opinions on my town layout!

So, when I first started my game, I chose the first town map that was offered to me.
A couple weeks in now, I can't decide how I feel about the layout. I'm worried that I'm going to get too far into the game and be stuck with a layout I hate and I'm so indecisive and can't decide if I should restart or not. XD

i like the beach with the vertical slope and the east facing, visible waterfall a lot and the placement of the main buildings are pretty decent! but i do think the river takes up a very large and overly winding portion of the map and could make larger PWP or landscaping ventures really hard to do. then again, i'm biased against small land bits like peninsula just because i don't personally like them and find them cumbersome.

i think what it really depends on is what kind of theme and style of town you're going for and whether you think that would be better served by a different layout. for example, if you have a water and nature themed or a spooky/get lost in themed or even just a simple cozy town type feeling, then this could work really well! but if you're going to want big paths, lots of open space, pwp like the tower or even all the permanent pwp buildings - those could potentially not be so successful.

basically, the question is, will you regret not resetting more than you will regret not working with this started map/villagers you may like?

Its a good river layout I like where you put your house and where the town plaza and retail and the town hall I just don't like where the campsite ramp thingy is (Forget what its called at the moment) but its your decision if you like it or not so I have a suggestion to help yourself: When you are about to play do you feel like eager to play or not so much because of your map then consider deleting because if you are not content then maybe you should change and another thing: Do you always think that you should delete your town because of your map because if so your not enjoying the game for what it should be. If you decide to delete it you will have regrets but you will find a town that is better than your last.

If this were my map I would restart, mostly because I don't like how long the river is, the private beach or those thin strips of land at the top thanks to the river.

I think picking a map and liking it is very personal, everyone has a different opinion on whats considered a good map. Look at the "post your town map" thread and compare yours to the others there and read what they think about it. If you are doubting your town that much I don't think it is the right town for you.
The main thing I looked for when I originally picked my town was to have my town hall aligned with my plaza and have the retail close to it.

The only thing I personally dislike about it is those small sections on the top half of the map, between the very top of the map and the river. I really don't like it when rivers make the small map parts like that because it's hard to do much with those sections. I know, because my very first town has sections like that.
