I love helping people find good stuff that works with their town theme. If I can help you at all, please post here. Just let me know what your theme is/is going to be and what specifically you need help with. ^^
 
Heyo, this thread is cool.

Anyway, my next town, I'm undecided on the name if it will remain Secret or not, is going to be a light autumn town, in the month of September when all the trees and grass is a light green color and the sweet olives (the orange starts) are in bloom. The flower colors will be orange, yellow, white with accents of black, and lemons, oranges, durians and pears.

Im still undecided on a path QR to use and what to use of my house plots. I would like it to possibly be brown, so it's neutral, and a path that isn't super popular. I feel the popular ones loose their look appeal when they're used over and over again. Idc if it a one piece repeating qr, a four piece repeating, or a full path, any path that you think will work well with my town. It doesn't even have to be brown if its nice and you think it will fit with the theme.

The path from the pixel rose, my sister is actually using that for her new town, haha.

The leaf pattern is pretty cool, I like covering the grass with the leaves in Moriyo since that town has a red autumn theme.
 
I'm feeling pretty solid on the new town I'm currently working on but I love hearing outside ideas!

The town is Arcana, and my theme is based around different kinds of witches, magic, etc. My mayor is a horticulture expert/kitchen witch/lucky item collector, second is a fortune teller/classic spooky witch/celestial, and a future third will be more of a Hansel & Gretel inspired witch with a candy house and a giant cauldron! The town is going to be primarily cedar trees and holly bushes with white, purple, and black flowers and mushrooms. Very natural and overgrown with winding paths.

Villager ideas so far: Kiki, Fauna, Henry/Tad (or any other frog), looking for more "forest" inspired than Halloween witchy.
PWPs: Well (have it), Water Pump, Scarecrow…
Paths: I haven't looked much, but something leaning more towards natural stone or ground would be ideal.

And then any other ideas I could incorporate are appreciated!

PWPs: Wisteria trellis, log bench, wooden bridges, outdoor chair, hammock, bus stop, zen clock, zen train station, zen town hall, zen streetlight, fire pit, hot spring, topiaries, zen garden, stone tablet, stonehenge

These are great recommendations! I forgot all about the stone tablet/stonehenge – definitely going to incorporate those and definitely some of the Zen PWPs. The firepit is also a great one, perfect little nod to Beltane. Both those path options are nice, though I am hoping to find some that lend themselves a little better to diagonal/thin pathways, maybe something more like stepping stones. I'll have to hunt around some more.

Oh, and whaaaat! I had no idea about the cedar trees!! In like, six years of playing I never knew that. Kind of explains some things, but fortunately the spots I super wanted to be forested are in the north half, and I can focus on developing the southern half with homes and PWPs like the coffeeshop and police station.

So how would one go about, sayyyy maybe making a creepy, 'ungodly alchemical experiments performed here' type of basement... particularly wallpaper and flooring; I have a few ideas for items (creepy skeletons, maybe a cauldron? Some armor-type things... maybe put some manikins down there?), but more are completely welcome!

These come to mind:

- bathroom (items: bathroom shelf, towel basket, bathroom sink/bowl sink, shower stall, aroma pot, Merlion, Aquarius urn)
- recreation room (dartboard, billiard table, bowling pins, ball return, basketball hoop, ball, ball catcher)
- gift shop (various plants, the teddy bear items, dolly, etc)
- spa (whirlpool bath, aroma pot, cushion, massage chair/massage recliner, incense burner)

Flooring ideas: lab floor, charcoal tile, lobby floor, old flooring, sci-fi floor
Furniture ideas: laboratory capsule, pirate's armor, creepy cauldron, heavy tome (alchemy book), book stands (same idea), fairy bottle, scattered papers (alchemy notes), stack of books, florence flask, medicine chest, complex machine, lab chair, blueprints, perfume bottles (could look like various types of chemical compounds, especially if you put it near the florence flask), science table, skeleton

Hello, I'm back again. This time I need path help. In Luminosa, it's a nautical themed town with white, blue and yellow as the town colors. Im looking for white pathwork, a white wooden deck would be awesome for the hotel area, but because I doubt there is such a path, any white path that goes with a nautical ocean theme would be fine.
